Not a stompbox but it could be. On the link below there's four little pictures of the Fuzz inside Messenger guitars. Good enough to come up with a layout(which I already did on paper) but hard to come up with all the values as there is no technical info.
I did a search, but didn't find anything under the name of this pedal, so I thought I'd start a thread to ask about it. I just came across one at SniperCentral (aka ~ eBay) for what seemed to be a pretty reasonable price (based on a quick search for others on the market), so I snatched it up on a whim. I'm always on the lookout for interesting sounding/looking pedals, which unfortunately also makes me a frequent sufferer of What was all the fuss (fuzz) about? Syndrome. This one looked...
....Hi.....so if I 'm not wrong......firs and only prototype for VOX wahs were packed in enclosures of VOX organs volume pedals........
it have vhite logo and was point to point like on Bart's great site ....
there is one on e-bay but it is not prototype....
so I am very happy to have this baby......get it by accident(if there is such a thing :D )
I posted pictures of no name volume pedall enclosure I have too, and I love how it looks, and works with switch....
Got this on listed fleebay but someone wanted to see the schematic
which is glued to the bottom so for interest here it is ,
typical wah but mecahnism needs work
Came across this interesting pedal from 1968 though being asked to help with a restoration project, a build it yourself pedal from Sentry Manufacturing Company that was published in the Jan-Feb issue of Elementary Electronics.
(found a copy of Elementary Electronics so here is the info as its not anywhere else online!)
Hey Guys!
I got this off of ebay, there were no gutshots in the listing, but I thought maybe it was an Italian Crybaby with a mismatched bottom plate that got swapped somewhere along the way. But it is much stranger than that! The rocker is an Italian Crybaby part, note the rounded top and bottoms of the Instrument and Amplifier script on the rubber tread, and if you look at the underside of the rocker you can see the heavier casting that Italian Crybaby's and Vox wahs feature, but the bottom...
Probably the best sounding Cry Baby I have ever heard. Values are listed as marked value / measured value . I cannot measure the capacitors or inductor. The only markings on the transistors are a number 2 with a circle around it followed by 5117. Any info on the trannies would be greatly appreciated. I think my close up work is getting better. :D
Heres the last morsel from my little Wilsic Collection, the reverb. I know nothing at all about this, only given it a cursory glance over so its up to you guys to speculate on its worthiness:
I got these pics from a french forum about an unknown wah. The owner says he lost the sticker while cleaning it... I've asked for guts in case, I'll check if it's being posted...
Any idea? I'm quite curious, it might just be some old european cheap stuff, but still... I suppose it's vintage , though I'll rename the topic and will move it where it belongs once the identifying process is done.
Recently got a non-working old maxon phase tone for repair. The outside appearance is different from the ones found online but the component layout is very similar to the Foot System Phase Tone on the other thread.
A very rare Kay-pedal is the bass boost. Currently one is on evilbay with guts - sadly the seller only ships to domestic US:
As far as I remeber DiscoFreq has one too but he is very busy, therefore it is hard to obtain pictures from him which are not on his site. Anyway, he has guts on his page too:
outside:
inside:
Judging from the schematic fragments visible it is a funny 1-transistor stage.
I just receive this today, and I think some of you would like to see what's inside
As you see on the pictures it was made 1984, S/N starting at 4, and most electrolytic caps with date codes starts on 84XX makes me to think that. There is no dace codes or brand on the pots. Battery cover and board are marked MAXON, IC chip is hated TA75558P, but I don't really give a fuck about JRC mojo rave... Diodes have legendary   blue stripe, back plate is silver pre CE :slap: type. This and...
