Hi guys i just got a micro crush and im looking to add a speaker out to it. Ive searched and all ive found is a hand drawn schematic and talk about changing the diodes etc but not to to add a speaker out.
On the ms2 and fender mini its just a matter of putting a jumper across the right resistor im hoping its the same on this :D
Ive already opened the amp and had a look at the board i'll attach the pictures when i copy them to my pc , when i opened it it looked like it had taken a splash but...
In a Dual Rectifier, 1uF capacitors are connected to the cathode. Via an LDR or resistor to GND.
But when I look at the PCB these are not ordinary electrolyte capacitors, but yellow capacitors that look very similar to the construction of a resistor. The + side seems to be a bit tapered. See image below. Picture is not from the DR, but from another Mesa. But it only concerns the type of capacitor.
Someone any idea what type of capacitor this is, and what the advantage is, compared to an...
Hi everyone I want a build a Soldano HR50 I was cloning pedals 3-4 times and I need an amp now so I decided to build one.Can anyone help to me about How I need (turret board transistor etc.) ?
Or any advice ? ( Like do this amp first etc)
unfortunately i don't have the footswitch/remote switch, which is the only way to go from lead to clean(!)
so....
i've searched everywhere and i can find the schem for that footswitch
it has a 4 pin din unlike most peavey amps that have a 5 to 7 pin dins
Hi all. Just sharing my build notes for anyone else. I've put together a single tube preamp based on the old Ampeg B15N. It uses a 12VAC input from a wall wart and then a transformer to step up the voltages for the plates. This is a pretty standard design choice with 12A*7 tubes because the filaments can run straight off of the wall wart voltage. However the B15N used 6SL7 octal preamp tubes. To deal with that issue I used a 12SL7 which by all accounts seems to be a 6SL7 designed to run on 12V...
I am looking for info and the building description of dual rectifier from Ampclones. Since the Ampclones website has been offline for a number of years, I am trying to retrieve info from the forum ampclones via wayback machine. Unfortunately I cannot get further than the attached image. Does anyone have this documentation, or does someone know a way to still retrieve the info, then I would have been greatly helped with that.
Long time stalker, first time poster..
(Mods: feel free to move this post to the most appropriate sub-forum if this one is wrong.)
I've been wanting to have a means of hooking my Vox AC4 directly into my Behringer UMC202HD for computer recording. This would be to bypass the amp's speaker. Obviously, I shouldn't just send the 1/4 cabinet output to the AI as that would likely melt something. The answer seems to be loadbox , but all the commercially available ones seem extremely expensive given...
Can anybody help me out
What is this brown thing covering the resistors? Could it be on purpose when assembling the amp or are the resistors starting to fail?
I've mesured them from the bottom of the board and they are ok, on the top of the board i don't get any readings.
I'm looking at these because my bogner alchemist is changing channels on it's own.
I've looked at a schematic and noticed that these resistors are in the path that gives 3.3v, witch is the voltage for the...
hi all, im just looking for a small simple tube amp schematic, without the pre-amp just amp, cause i want mi guitar signal the clearer and natural possible without any filter on it....
Hello everyone. I have a pretty simple question. After looking at a lot of schematics, I've noticed that some placed the inicator led between the +/- power rails and some place it between the + rail and ground. Why? Is one way better than the other? I've built a solid state amp that has a tda7294 chip amp in the output and uses a split rail (+/-) supply. Any help would be apreciated.
anybody give me some advice.. my solid amp power amp IC Keep blowing when I install new one..after a minutes of playing maybe 15 minutes with my amp the power amp ic goes on tiny little humming sound inside then 'pliccck it made a crack on the ic itself and smells sucks and the output sound gone..then I change it to a new one ..and clicks and broke again...
what would be the problem of this??can anybody help??
Hi. I have an old kasino amplifier that used to be my favorite amp until a part went bad. The part looks like a germanium transistor, and has the number 61008 printed on it. It appears they used it as a diode. My question is this. What can I use as a replacement? I'd really like to get this one working again. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Hey, guys so i thought i need a battery amp to throw in my pedalboard/guitar case so that i can jam in a pub on my way home from the studio and i really wanted the mini tweed thing as it's actually wooden and looks really cute as a shelf object.
I'm planning on improving the tone.
I got myself a 3x5 vintage oval alnico speaker that I'll put into the cab and I'll probably convert it to be open backed to get a little less of the can of bees tone, but I'm wondering about what can be done with...
anybody knows here the dc output power rating of the power transformer of marshall mg15cd guitar amp series? or what the voltage on primary and secondary..??
im searching for building an amp..
I ordered 2 MOD reverb pans to try out in my amp to replace an Accutronics pan. I think I prefer one of the MOD pans, but the noise from both is unacceptable. My reverb had no discernible hum with the Accutronics, but with both MOD pans there is a hum that gets louder as the reverb is turned up. I tried turning it around 180 degrees and didn't notice a change. It is in the bottom of my 2x12 combo, so it is pretty far away from any transformers in the amp. Any thoughts?
Recently I bought the Sl-5 which is a very nice sound amp,
despite that for a couple of days I am trying to modify the sl5 to the jubilee 25/50 specs.
I found those schematics:
Jubilee 25/50
SL5
Do you think If I put the 0.047u on the input (before the 68k), change the 220pf to 47pf on V1 and add parallel a 0.68uf to the 2.7k will make any difference?
Can you please tell me what changes are the best to make the SL5 soundlike a jubilee (if thats possible).
Schematic didnt say anything about HT. BUT a few months ago I made a simulation based on schematic and the waveforms chart available somewhere online. According to that 12ax7 should be running between 125-130V. I think that info will be usefull for people that's into repair, right?
I will post later the links to the schematic when i can find them.
I got this amp a while ago. There isn't any identification as to brand or anything anywhere inside or outside the cab or the amp. Just this one logo. Does anyone have any idea of the brand of amp/cab this is? It certainly seems like a set.
I'm assuming this is probably something purchased through a catalog or department store (like Sears) in the 70's. I can take more pictures of anything if it will help. Just trying to get some info on this and even better would be a schematic as it needs a...
