I am having some problems with a new 3DPT switch I have wired up.

I have a bit of NEWBY question....

Is there a correct way (top or bottom) the switch should be wired? I'm pretty confident I've followed my instructions correctly.

Looking at CODA effects here:

It suggested there is a numbered sequence to the lugs and was wondering if I have wired it upside down?
I can't see any markings to show where the 'No. 1' lug is located or a top side etc..

I am currently building a dual delay pedal using 2 discrete PCB kits that are two different types of delay.

I am housing them in one pedal enclosure, so at the moment Delay A runs into Delay B. However, I would like to add a switch to change the direction/order of the effects. ie Delay A -> Delay B when the switch is one way and Delay B -> Delay A with the switch the other way.

Does anyone know of a simple way to do this?

I made a two loop Looper, and I am wondering if anyone can help me to wire this up by using just one switch to switch between the two loops? This would mean that one of the Loops would be active. I have attached a schematic of how I wired up the Looper I have now, just remove loop 3. I would also like to have LED's to indicate which loop is active

I need a channel switcher to help my forgetful ears compare between builds. I wanted buffered switching and I decided CD4051-4052-4043 multiplexers would be the way to go (I have a box full of 4000 series CMOS ICs so I wanted to use them).

I am building a stomp box that can be used as a preamp or as a pedal. This will be based on the preamp of a hot-rodded Marshall.

I am looking for a 2PDT or 3PDT Stomp Switch that has a non LED (or non powered) On / Off indicator, does anything like this exists, if so can you point me to one. - One dry (with a volume control),
- and one going to an external effect loop (with pre and post volume control).

Some of them use transistors, microcontrollers, 4069 chips. Whats the main differnce beetwen microcontroler and 4069? Is it just current draw or there is something more? Also, what is your opinion on relay bypass circuits?

Hi, I need to switch between 2 pedals during my set (like a fuzz for rhythm and one for chorus/lead) and I prefer switch between the 2 with only one switch and shut them off with an other switch for get my clean signal.

I designed this layout but I don't know if I did right, or maybe there is some improvement to add. I don't put the resistances for LED.
Also is it possible to add an extra switch:
- to put loop A on B or B on A?

Here is the 3PDT wiring I use for all my builds (pic from Gaussmarkov) :

I ran across a situation where I'd like to have a bicolor status LED (bypass/on).
Implementation would be easy if I could use the entire center row of the 3PDT switch.
That in turn would mean I'd need to remove the wire that enables circuit input grounding in bypass mode.

AFAIK the sole purpose of input grounding is to avoid popping when you turn the effect on and off.

Hi, I am new in building DIY guitar pedals.

I own a project studio and started to build some pedals to experiment while mixing tracks with them.

I built a simple overdrive first. It works well, but there is a humming, which is kind of loud.

If I touch the output-cable it goes away.

Does anybody know a trick to kill the humming by wire the ground to the chassis or anything like that?

I want to break a signal path which has no discrete components in it as of now. I want a 3 position toggle switch to have the options of Stock (signal pass through), Resistor 1 (signal path broken and routed into Resistor 1), and Resistor 2 (signal path broken and routed into Resistor 2). I am building up a looper pedal but want to be sure what I connect the grounds to, it's a six way looper, do I connect the jacks and 3pdt to the case or do I need th isolate them? I'm dublicating my (bought) 2 loop TB box with led, to a smaller 1 loop without led box

1) In the circuit shown below, the send of the loop, is connected to ground when the loop is bypassed
Is it to avoid clicking/popping ?

2) The 2 looper has a stereo input jack
Does this only serve a purpose when connecting a led ?
or is there a ground-issue , if I simply use a mono jack for my looper minus led

In an effort to try and clean up the wiring in my builds i'd like to try and start to braid the wires going to the pots.

i'm guessing/assuming that tone controls shouldn't add noise, but gain and volumes controls make me nervous, especially with high gain pedals like the dr. boogie.

can i safely braid the wires going to the gain and volume pots without adding noise or oscillation?

Hi. New here. I have to replace a stomp switch in a Son of a screamer pedal I builded many years ago. The new stompswitch have 8 lugs. Can`t find any schematics on it. The lugs are numbered in pairs: 1+1, 2+2, 3+3, 4+4. Tried a lot of configurations, but no luck. Also like to put a led on it.

I working on a stereo circuit at the moment which will have a stereo 1/4 output. What if I wanted to get a mono signal from this? Could I just plug in a mono 1/4 lead? Or would this double the strength of the signal? Would it be better to have a seperate output that has combined the stereo signals in some appropriate way?

New to the world of relay/microprocessor based switching. A friend of mine is looking for an overdrive, distortion, and fuzz in one box. He wants three footswitches, and wants the switching to function as follows:

OD-on, dist-bypass, fuzz-bypass
OD-bypass, dist-on, fuzz-bypass
OD-bypass, dist-bypass, fuzz-on

I need some help on how to control the CD4066 in this manner - toggling CH1 & CH2 (SW 1 & 2 ) while enabling SW 3 and disabling switch 4 thru an SPDT stompswitch. And another SPDT stompswitch to disable SW 3 (bypassing CH1 & CH2) while enabling SW 4 . I tried looking something the same but to no avail. I'll be using 3 4066's wired identically and was opting to use bipolar transistors to control the CMOS.

Any thoughts?.
