are those PCB from the same seller? (JazzsGuitarPedals i see...)
i've been on this seller's Etsy page (the only result from google i've found) and i can see the first pic that you posted, but not the other one with 2 PCB.
on Etsy i can see a pic of the TOP side of the PCB, but this one has not the white SILK printing, and it has not plated holes, that's why i'm asking.

your second pic seems to show an upgraded PCB.

anyway just 1 PCB per pedal is needed, that's for sure.

I've been scouring the Web for this info, and even looked through several of the books linked in the library section, but I still can't find what I'm after.

What I'm after is something that takes simple circuits, preferably actually existing pedal circuits, and starts from the beginning, explaining where the current comes from, where it goes to, what happens to it at each and every component. Does this capacitor act as a high-pass filter? What's the point of this 10K resistor, and if...

is it safe to keep electronic parts in garage during winter ? or how cold can you keep them before they are ruined

This is my first post. My name is Jason and I am just joining in the greatness of pedal building. Thanks to Paul from DIY Guitar Pedals(.au), im building my first Fuzz pedal with some rad upgrades of (russian) Ge transistors and diodes, and so on.

Though all of it is pretty straight forward, (looking forward to her first words), and I do understand the basic functions of a capacitor, or a resistor, or even a diode (though limited), I do NOT understand the compounding effects these...

I have some extra 3pdt switches. Can anyone help me connect one to turn off/on my dying battery simulator?

I'm just getting into this stuff and want to make a big order. I suppose I could just make parts lists from a dozen pedals and then order lots of whichever resistors, caps, and transistors those use, but I was thinking maybe someone could point me toward a more comprehensive list.

I also planned to order from Tayda, since they seem to be about the cheapest I've seen. Is this a good idea, or does someone have a better suggestion for an order like this?

FOTD882.JPG I'm a beginner who started a mod a while back. I made the mistake of trying to persuade a desoldered component out with pliers a little too much and I chipped the board around it. Do I need epoxy glue/pen or is this is a different kind of problem? I've included a picture so hopefully someone has seen this happen before. It's on the right side. Thanks!

I came across a schematic from a BYOC Reverb unit that I'd like to put on veroboard (I consider myself a beginner at schematic-veroboard transfer too, but let's save that for another time) that left me a bit...

My question is related to the preamp emulating pedals out there like the OLC Orange Peel or Runoffgroove Flipster. Can you boost a signal going into these types of pedals to get an overdriven sound the same way you would do with an amp?

I have decided to make a go at building effects and so I went with what seems like a good starter kit.

Finished up last night with mostly good results. Everything seems to be working great. No noise and maxed volume seems to offer quite the boost but with the gain dimed I cant get anywhere near the level of distortion in the sound clip linked above. Right now a maxed gain gives me a mildly broken up tube kind of sound. It actually sounds pretty nice but obviously not the level...

hi all, i think i have problem with my jacks, i can build anything, and the sound its only ground, but voltages are ok, in everything i have made, i have build many pedals, so i dont doubt my soldering skills, but i have tried something that mayme doubt of my jacks, if i use a two jacks, and solder a lead in the tip of the jack and the join tip to tip, i cant get any sound, as far as i know it should work but i dont gat any sound, its that normal?? or my jacks are bad??

First time poster. Finally put together the Tonefiend Fiendmaster kit I've had laying around. I put in a socket for the transistor like Joe does in the build instructions, but I had a helluva time doing it! The leads seem too long to leave straight, nor do they make physical contact with the solder pad. On the other hand, they're almost too short to bend, which is what I did. It took a flathead screwdriver and nearly ripped off the solder pad in the process. Is there a trick to putting these...

I soldered together a Big Muff clone based on the design and ready-to-build kit from Musikding.de .
It ain't working yet though...

What I was wondering: some of the film capacitors (aka the whitish boxy things) are marked with a dot, and the schematics also clearly mark a + side on the board.
By the power of deduction I conclude these things must have some kind of polarity. Looking at the current way I soldered this, I've probably screwed this up.

well i have built a few effects, i started about 1 year ago building them. And I feel I am getting better soldering skills, better offboard wiring arrangement, better fit-in-enclosure layout, better overall quality circuit I guess...

But there's something I couldn't never, EVER, do properly. Enclosure painting and finish (labels and all that). i mean, my enclosures just SUCK!!
My modus operandi regarding this comes to clear decal paper, but then again it just sucks! i can't paint a...

Can anyone tell me how to go about testing an opamp to see if it is working or working properly? I'm attempting to see if an FTE986 I have is still good.
