hows about the batteries of your camera ?
The octane 3 pictures are really bad and I would like to trace this unit. So if there is a chance for better pictures I would appreciate that.
Prunes & Custard is also a hot item.
Anout degooping:
You can go the brutal way. It takes some experience. You can use a small drill-machine and a litlle screwdriver to remove carefully piece for piece of the goop. Start at a point where ther are no components.

A common thing done by boutique pedal manufacturers is to sand down the face of the opamps to remove the part number.
There are a few tricks you can use to reduce the unknowns:
1) BJT input vs JFET/MOSFET input.
Key parameter: opamp input bias current.
You can measure the voltage across the 1M or 470k bias resistor on the input stage.
If the voltage is zero it is likely to be a FET input opamp.
If it is say in the 2mV and above, say upto 300mV, it is likely to be a BJT input opamp....
1. Use a 4 layer PCB, placing traces on the inner layers to connect points which should connect, and have about 20% of the outside layer traces look like they connect but really don't connect, to places that should not connect. Otherwise, make the outside traces easy to follow.
2. Leave some traces off entirely, putting only solder pads.
3. Solder loose loops of magnet wire to make the left-off traces connect properly.
4. Paint the circuit with a thin layer of epoxy. Let cure.
5. Paint the...
I just purchased a 2880 secondhand. I'm aware of its limitations compared to the 45000 (multiple loop storage mainly) but the price difference (300 euros used compared to 560 euros new) didn't have the cash for the 45000.
I've been wondering if anyone has tried a 45000 foot controller with the 2880 to see if it allows the 2880 to store multiple loop storage or better yet if anyone knows whether it's possible to upgrade the 2880 by installing the 45000 software onto it and then use it...
just wondering if someone can post gut shots of the circuits to see if there's any difference.
if there isn't it should be possible to upgrade the 2880 with the software upgrade from the 45000 (the software I can provide and it is easily obtainable from ehx i believe) and eventually the 45000 foot controller.
