Okay I've gotten so much info here as well as layouts and whatnot. This website is the reason I've been able to build pedals. I'm a total beginner but I'm learning very fast and I've already made a few pedals with success. I just wanted to give you guys something in return and I hope this will evolve into a thread with schematics, layouts and whatever people need.
So here are a few pictures of the insides of my GMD Luther Drive. I'm not sure if it's the current version (if he's ever altered...
Can someone explain to me exactly what the FM mode does, (from an electronic perspective) and how it could be wired to a standard TS clone.
I'm building a TS clone for a friend of mine, and would like to include this feature. I have a limited understanding in electronic theory however, so can't quite figure out what is going on there by looking at the schematics, due to the complications of the other modes and the boost switch in the same vicinity.
I really like this pedal and I'd like to make my own version of it so I took some gut photos. Let me know if it's not enough and if you need additional photos or info. I don't know how to make vero layouts and how to properly analyze every component.
I have recently got one of these amazing pedals. I have since opened it up to find an amazing builder. This guy knows what he's doing. I have been searching for the schematics and layouts of this or similar sounding pedal project but have come up empty handed. I would love to know how this thing works as I'm sure many of you would also.
So what I have come up with so far is an exact replica of the pedal in dlc. It is just as it is in the pedal. I would like to create from this a perf or even...
Devi posted some layouts a while ago on her Forum. I wanted to build a Krackle Fuzz and badgerific made a vero layout for it.
I verified it today, so I thought I post it here, maybe someone is interested in:
Believe me you don´t want to switch to the disaster Fuzz, its hissy as hell and sounds very compressed.
All in all definately not my favorite DE effect....
i picked one up for cheap in hopes i could get it working,well..... i can get it to pass a signal but not getting any fuzz. i know its a long shot but I'd figure i would ask anyway. does anyone have a schem. or any useful info on this pedal. your help is much appreciated
This arrived yesterday from a very nice guy on TGP. :)
This is an analog delay with about 550ms of delay time and modulation (see below). They sell for $149 new, which I think is a fair price considering how much some analog delays cost. Here's the PGS demo vid, which of course makes it sound like magic in a box:
My first impression after plugging in a hitting a few notes: this thing sounds a LOT like a Clarinot...only with really noisy repeats. The modulation seems skewed towards the...
Allright, I think it's time to pay something back to the community, so I traced my MI Audio G.I. Fuzz.
I love its tone and its great versatility!
No more talking, here is the schematic . Please contact me if you find any errors! That was the first pedal I've traced.
Btw., the pcb is very well done! It's about 5.5x2cm and all pots and the trim-pot are soldered on it. So I think pics wouldn't be that helpful, even if I had a cam ;).
Yellow lines = back
Blue = Top
There is a blue line that seems to terminate under the diodes on the left... i can't see where it goes from there.
trace.jpg
the two caps on the left are what showed up on my multimeter, not sure if those are correct.
for some reason the diode and cap on the right are both connected to ground on both sides? I tried bypassing the effect and they are still both connected to ground.
I do not have any experience with smd so any help identifying these parts would be useful.
Apparently a collaboration between Iron Ether and Craig Anderton, the Quadrafuzz in a stompbox format with some additional tricks (like variable Q/resonance and an overall frequency control that can be varied with a Moog-like CV). Looks like a very cool concept:
Hi all,
I'm rehousing a mate's lovepedal pickle vibe into a larger enclosure because he wants to use a 9v battery instead of an adaptor. Fair enough and seems straightforward.
Rewired the output jack, added 9v adaptor and that's fine.
The issue I'm having is wiring the input jack from the board. I ran the tip, ring sleeve to the new jack but get no signal.
I noticed it has relay switching but can’t see how that would affect rewiring another jack.
I got some pics below – ignore my input jack...
Got this one the other day, pretty cool use of a rangemaster. Schematic is verified, but I could use some help making a digital version to upload here. Here's some pics and schematic, more on my flickr :
In the schematic the cap to ground on the input is a 220p, the big one on the depth control is a 1000uf 16v, and the vactrol is labeled vtl5c4/2. Next up will be a Skreddy Pig Mine once I sort out the values from some pics a friend sent me.
You are bidding on an '06 Honda Sound Works (HSW) 1403 Real Booster, #28! This MIJ Dallas Arbiter Rangemaster hyper clone is at home next to all of your vintage and boutique effects, due to it's true-bypass switching, high quality pots and jacks, and the myriad of vintage tone options it provides. What makes this pedal unique compared to anything else...
