Will Xotic Robotalk be a complete copy of Maestro Filter Sample/Hold? :hmmm:
I think it to be an original circuit.
Do you know anything more about a circuit?
Did anyone ever get a look inside of Xotic Robotalk?
Got this yesterday. Fast shipping. Shipped on Friday, I got it Monday, and I'm all the way across the country.
Very cool, funky little throby-wah-phaser. Doesn't sound like any other phaser I've played, for sure. It's great for syncopated, choppy strumming. It's also got some really nice subtle settings, and being able to control the sweep frequency is really nice. LFO goes *really* slow if you want. It won't be *replacing* my Whetstone, but it will be a nice companion. :thumbsup
... will yield a sale. I just got this in for repair. It's a Big Cheese clone. Gloppy solder, spaghetti wiring, cold solder joints, lifted traces, egads it is AWFUL...
As I once promised, here are some pictures of the J. Everman Fuzz Drive G2. Some of the pics aren´t very accurate. Big green cap is Tracon IH104K, two electrolytics are 22uF 25V, Gain pot A500K, Drive A10K, Fuzz B50K and Bias B50K. Not sure about the diode though, maybe 1N914 or 1N4148... Resistor values you can see from the pics too ;) I can try to make some layout pic so you can see the pot wiring better (if anyone is interested). Markings from the trannies are sanded off. At least of one of...
After trying a friend's Reverberator.. I had to have one.
Without doubt the best Reverb I've used.. as well as the reverb effect, it adds a 'bigness' to the sound.
Plus.. it's got a bunch of voicing settings that are all different and useful, and all in a small, well built box.
Not really a DIY project I don't think (not for most of us anyway :D ), but worth a peek inside.
The pics are from Dr Scientist's website because I was too lazy to photo mine.. hope they don't mind.
Basically, this is an analog AND digital delay in one. In the short delay mode (toggle switch), it's all analog (MN3005) and goes up to about 300ms. In long delay mode, you can mix analog with digital (PT2399) delay. The digital picks up where the analog leaves off to extend the max delay time to around 600 - 700ms, or perhaps a bit longer (I'll have to compare to something digital so I can get a more accurate measurement). Like many analog (and some digital) delays, this one also packs a...
Hey, good people!
I have one Elite Tone Fillmore Thunder fuzz laying around for couple of days (had blown capacitor in it), if someone interested in it I could trace the schematic. (so I feel good, that I don't only copy stuff from here, but share something too :D)
I think everyone knows this a Foxx Tone Machine but I figured might as well add a schematic to the archive. A fellow forumite sent me some super awesome gut shots so tracing was easy. I was hoping he was gonna do some tweaks to the circuit like he did with his other boxes (Saffron Squeeze, Pickle) but she's almost dead on to original values. The octave switch is a stomp 3pdt that uses the second pole to drive the bi-color led. Third pole is unused. I drew the wiring out for that. So anyway,...
Anybody ever dissected a Diamond J-Drive MK3? I had one of these for a while, but unfortunately had to sell it a few months ago (due to various reasons). I'd love to be able to build one myself, but without the boost section. I'm still a noob, with only two builds under my belt. So, I'm looking for possibly a perf or vero layout. I'd also generally like to learn about how the pedal works, since it has a different style tone control than you normally see.
Another old Lovepedal design re-drawn for the collection... a 386 Distortion circuit.
This one seems to be based on Aron Nelson's Smash Drive.. and was apparently aimed at getting the EVH sound.
It's somewhat dark, but still kinda cool and useful in old school sort of way.
Holy crap on a land mine, I have created a serious monster. For over a year now, I've been working on a massively heavy metalcore distortion box — The TUA (Total, Utter Annihilation) — and I finally got it to where I was ready to fabricate a board. It started out as a modified version of the Dual Rectifier circuit, but I did loads of tweaking to get it to sound exactly how I want it to — and mother, is it AWESOME. After biasing the transistors, I just stood there and played and played and...
