Anyone have one? There is a gut shot on their website. Looks like some sort of muff variant but there is an op-amp on the board. Demos sound great even at low gain.
I have been thinking about the arpanoid an awful lot lately and I have am pretty sure it uses the spin chip for the pitch shifting. The fv-1 has a very particular sound when it comes to pitch shifting and thats what Im hearing in the arpanoid demos. The fv-1 must have a sequencer hooked up to one of the three control pot inputs which results in the arpeggiating. The sequencer is what is most interesting to me. Seems like a 16 step sequencer that has its steps quantized to 8 selectable scales....
So I've gotten pretty close, due mostly to its simplicity, but here's what I've got so far. I know they used AC125 PNP transistors, and a 1N270 germanium diode. They've also upped the gain pot from a 100KB to a 1MB for more gain, and added what looks like a 1N400 as a protection diode. Here's where I'm stumped: in the gut shots it looks like they've added 3 caps, and an ic chip, which I can't quite discern. I could just replace what I know, but I demoed one of these recently and absolutely...
This is not in the archive, so... here we go. Everybody loves gutshots
I made my attempt to trace it, but I'm not 100% sure, so if somebody wants to join... welcome!
Here are pics of the Merkin Fuzz to get the ball rolling, i really like this fuzz, specially the texture knob, it really dials all typical fuzz sounds, from farty gated sounds to really high gain FF/Fuzzrite or even muff type sounds without the sustain, here's some info:
three 2N222A transistors
input cap is 473 (so is the one right next to it, followed by a greenish 0.0022uF cap)
all peripheral electros are 47uF @ 50V, the central electro is 10uF @ 50V (the greenish cap right of the central...

Friend of mine sent me non working Moollon overdrive pedal.
He tried to contact manufacturer for help, but no answer.
So, he decided to send pedal to me and asked me for help.
He said that if I cannot repair it, I can build something different into such a nice enclosure.
So, this is my first degooping action.
MAybe somebody is interrested in the pictures, if you can help t trace it, it would be appreciated.
I destroyed a few of components during degooping, but at least I know the values of...
I just came across this in my schematics folder... it's one I've meant to redraw for you guys, but it hasn't happened, so I thought why not just put it up anyway so you can use it.
If someone wants to draw a nice version, please go ahead.
The drawing is my crude changes to a schematic hand-drawn some time ago by Briggs.. taken directly from a unit I traced myself..
The Cream Tone is a very nice Overdrive, a good alternative to all the TS types, and a playground for modifications too.
I'm going to start off with, sorry for the double post. i put this under the requests section as well. i wasn't sure which would be the correct and better place to put it.
i know this is basically a modified BeeBaa, with a cap selector switch like the black forest, and no tone selector or boost. i actually bought one, and while it was good, i really wanted to tweak it mostly i didn't like the cap selector, it would cut a lot more low end then i wanted. before i returned it i took some pictures...
Anybody have a schematic for the Luxury Drive? I've been wanting to try one out for ages but can't seem locate one where I live. From what I've seen in pictures, it seems like a simple circuit.
Hello!
I'm seeking for the TMB schematic.
I think it's just an addition of several well known boost.
Here is the infos about it:
This is a 2 channel, 3 mode pre-amplifier (booster) for driving your amplifiers into overdrive or saturation.
* The 2 channels are labeled VINTAGE and MODERN.
* The Vintage side is inspired by rare germanium boosts like the Dallas Rangemaster.
* The Modern side a new +23dB gain dual JFET, very transparent, guitar signal amplifier.
