Over at madbean's forum, jaidee pointed out that the JetCity youtube demo of the Rainbow Machine includes a decent gut shot. So I grabbed a couple screenshots. As several of us suspected, it has a Spin FV-1 at the core. I tried my best to composite multiple frames into one cohesive image. It's close but not perfect. The video uses the old Ken Burns Effect to pan over the still image with some slight zoom effect, so there's no way to get it exactly right. Here's the video:
I have been a long time lurker here and wanted to contribute. This is the first pedal I have traced and drawn a schematic for. It would be nice to get a second set of eyes, but I only have a crappy phone camera. I can post my perf trace if need be.
Noticed one of these on sale as a defunct unit and grabbed it for a decent price. This is apparently the latter version with white coat and blood splatter graphics. The L386-3 was burned out, and swapping it for a new one did the trick. The 220µ power filter cap cap was rated for 10V and it looked like a puffer fish, so i replaced that too. Works, and sounds very decent high gain metal distortion. The semiconductors are LM386-3, 2N5088 and J201. To me it looks like a LPB1 to Marshall styled...
All I can say, yet another TS808 Clone.
The part names on the schematic are in correlation with the names at the PCB equipment print-out.
C15 is a bipolar type.
Got one of these a few weeks ago, but i seem to be more swamped with things than usual.. So here's just one gut shot for now. It does not sound bad at all and the build quality is decent to say at least. Not sure if i am a fan of two stomps on vertical 125B though. According to marketing texts, it should be a Roland Beebaa derivative. I'll take it apart and snap more photos once i find the time.
Ok, so I was listening to a lot of Muse lately and their bass player uses a Muff and an Human Gear Animato Distortion ; someone knows what happens inside one????
Hi, I've been an occasional observer of the forum and I thought I would share this here since I did not see any information on this pedal.
So far, I've managed to trace all the components but I'm not sure if the traces are 100% correct.
I'm a noob so be gentle and let me know if I made any mistakes.
Oh by the way, this is a non-working Carl Martin Contour & Boost. It's output signal is barely audible to none. I'm trying to figure out what's wrong with it.
Using the audio probe, the signal...
This is a sweet sounding distortion, low parts count so definitely worth a build.
This pedal was reversed by myself, with the help of an interested party that had access to pictures of an original. He wishes to remain anonymous, and by consequence I have decided to only include the schematic I threw together in DIYLC, and title the thread with a modified version of the original pedal's name.
The board was gooped, and in the pictures I was given, the degooping process had destroyed the...
Any chance someone with skill could redraw the TC booster line driver and distortion
without the switching and boost options as a straight true bypass distortion pedal diy?
Just love the sound of it and really miss mine. I'll jump on building one promptly.
Thanks
Hi, I am new here and this is my first post.
Sometime ago I built a Toneczar Openhaus clone and it didn't worked.
I used original parts requested, and I checked all that I could with no results.
The circuit is a few complicated and, without the schematic, I can't trace the signal route using a signal generator and a osciloscope.
So if anyone has the schematic and post the link, or a image, I thank you in advance.
Cheers.
Well, as some of you may know, on The Lawyer forum (TGP) there was a big stink about Vertex Effects Wah pedals (Among other things).
Vertex has (had?) 2 Axis Wahs, the normal one and the NOS one.
One of the users offered to loan his NOS to someone if they were willing to de-goop it and find out what it really was,
As luck would have it, that user lived near me so I offered my services to de-goop and trace it.
And in another stroke of luck, he also had a BBE Ben Wah so I could do a comparison...
Hi
Does anyone have a schematic for this :?: - I think , I have the basic circuit drawn from the two gutshots found in the Demeter Tremulator thread, but not sure of the resistor or capacitor values.
By the way - it is NOT a clone of the Craig Anderton compressor
ANY information most gratefully accepted. I will produce a project when finished.
cheers

Since it's their flagship pedal I would have thought there would be something on it here.
Haven't been able to Dig up and posts about it.
I know it's a tube screamer with some tweaks but the one I have here is gooped around the clipping diodes. It gets a very compressed sag sound at one stop on the diode switch.
The other two positions sound like LEDs and then straight back to back diodes.
This one seems to have a good bit of gain on tap. More than I get from a typical landgraff type TS tweak...
