Awesome!

RM is putting out this as a pedal soon; I played the pedal for a magazine I work for (and now I have a short line to Roger) but I could not trace it as the time was too short AND the PCB had no 'lines' if you know what I mean :). Made it hard to trace!

the schematic was lent to me by an extremely generous chap over at ProdigyPro who basically gave me the password to his huge ftp site - I haven't even gone through half of it yet ... says he, some of the first RM58 clones are supposed to be making their way out shortly ... interesting data about that 2n3820 jFET, it has Idss lying between 0.3mA and 15mA ... what a spread !

I have a close friend who is a collector of extremely rare studio toys and mics (like he managed to score four of only fourteen ever built Tannoy ribbon mics that are apparently amazing - he sent two to a Ozzie mic co. recently so they could get cloned) he also has these wickedly interesting Ge-bridge compressors that make drum tracks come alive ... I keep asking to lend me one to reverse it, but they're always on the verge of getting sold (!) - maybe in the near future I can nab one for us to look at

speaking of studio gear, I always wanted to know more about the Altair compressor Jimmy Page ran around with during his session years and early Zep (I think) ... anybody know anything about that one ???
