Maybe the Tracer's Fund should focus on rare effects as well - even though they weren't designed for guitar, this guy used it with guitar too. Maybe the circuit is by no means a mystery, but these units do are rare...

Please read entire description and payment information before bidding or offers.

(1) Dyno-My-Piano Tri Stereo Rack Mount Chorus.

Works perfectly. I think this is the best sounding stereo chorus unit ever built, period.

I guess this is around 30 years old. It has some scratches, bent rack ears, plastic chipped around
the power button and the clear cap has since fallen off the -12db button. (see pic # 9)
None of these affect the functionality or the beautiful, liquid sound.

Although I've never had a reason to use it, the -12db button doesn't seem to affect a guitar signal.
Also, I've never had any reason to use the XLR outputs or the rear rate and effect 1/4'' jacks. These are untested.
No Manual.

Please read the reviews here http://www.harmonycentral.com/products/90206

I've owned this for over 20 years. It's a great sounding chorus!
The only reason I'm selling is because my playing and tastes have changed; I don't use chorusing like I used to.

One thing is certain: You could spend a lifetime searching for an original Dyno-My-Piano Tri Stereo Chorus
with the Flying Piano Keys Logo and NEVER find one.

The fanboys on the Gear Page and Huge Racks Inc. rave about this unit. I use the simulation on my M13 and love it. I'm all for tracing this one and would be glad to contribute money and time for the cause.

Clapton's 90's Soldano rig and Cornish rack are up for auction at Bonham's. The rack includes one of these and the estimate is $7,500 -10,000 for everything. If someone buys this rig for me, I'll donate the Tri-Stereo Chorus to the tracer's fund. Yeah, that's the ticket.

I say [ and i've been meaning to do it ]
get three choruses and devise a switching system
to take one mono chorus straight up the center and
two more one to each side switcable to take their input from the
center mono chorus or in paralell with it from the same input
add waveform select maybe and some way to mix outputs

That's close. It's quite fun to build chorus units with multiple delay lines and clocks that are phase related. You can get really rich, complex chorus sounds. One version I've been playing around with was described as sounding like a 24-string guitar! Deriving stereo outputs is also simple, and you can get some really strange effects that'll turn your head inside-out if you listen on headphones!
"Why is it humming?" "Because it doesn't know the words!"

it looks like the new T.C. Corona chorus has a tri chorus as one of it's two standard modes.

You have an original unit ? m shirt is wet with drool.
there was probably a time in the 90's when chorus fell a little out of favor and before they became " vintage "
that you could get em for a reasonable price.
reminds me I still owe you some amp pix , just upped it on the list.

Wonder what the vactrols do? Bypass, maybe? External speed control?

There are a LOT of components in there....

My guess is to control rate for all three chorus patches at ones with single rate knob. Something like RG did for UVICBS or whatever it is called (UV i cry baby shell)

Are you saying we contribute to buy the full tone ver ? I'd contribute to that, cheaper than finding the vintage I'd think.

MARSHALL 900 Is the amp I'm referring to , they make good mod hosts for other marshalls

Yeah man. Personally I would prefer if someone could buy it in the USA. They're stupidly expensive in UK. Two units are in Andertones for £1300.

Modman have to give it a green light. I can chip in £50 and my time to RE it

Hey guys,

There are two units out now which are replicas of the famous Tri Stereo Chorus.
The Fulltone and the other one is called Shiva "The Wave". Don't know if anybody in here heard about it. Basically it's a CS-5 clone from a small italian builder. I am in contact with the owner (Luca) for quite a while and he's a really great guy.
