Guys,

Newbie here, This seem to be a good semi-experienced beginner's project. Is there a pcb file or better yet a *.diy file for these?

Thanks in advance!
I can give you my .diy file if you need it... Or you can just use the layout I posted and the board transfer. I used DIY Layout Creator to create the layout from the schematic and then I re-made the board with Sprint. Don't know how to use Eagle very well or I would probably use it for all.. RCustom has a nice looking layout also somewhere back in this post but I have not tried it... looks good to me though, probably a lot better than mine...

KIndly send it to j2sip@yahoo.com. I will also try rcustom's lay outs in time, the S1 probably. Thank you so much.

This can be loaded as the S1 or the B1. The S1 is shown here.

@J0K3RX
Wow, nice lay out! I wish somebody'll help me make up my mind on what to build:)

With this, do you mean by changing values reflected in the schem I'll come up with the B1? Sorry for the noob question..

Hi guys and thank you.

I used all the info from this thread to make some experiments, starting from your version of B1. I used what I have on hand - 2SK170 for the first tranny and 2SK117 for the others, 1N4148 for the diodes, and so on. I also made an attempt at this cabsim. Two J201 and two 2SK117 - sound got out of it, so I didn't pursue biasing any further. I'm using it at 18V now, but I didn't try to change the trannys after the 18V idea hit me.

Log story short, I have here 2 samples, first without cabsim, second with cabsim. The recording was done using a sample from the Digitech site played from my mobile directly into the effect than into the Line-In of my PC (either directly or through the cabsim). Then a normalization to -1dB was done in Audacity.

Hmm, is there any way to embed soundcloud.com tracks in FSB posts? Much later found a way.

Ok. Do you have the board layout that you created and a list of the parts/values you used and would you be willing to share that information?

Thanks,
Jim

Hehe armkon, I see you redrew my main board layout as well...

I was already working on a separate tone stack when you posted yours and yes I did use yours for reference.

btw - you might want to reverse/mirror your TS layout on the transfer or it will be backwards...

the one I posted needs to mirrored as well if anybody is going to etch it.

Just to let you know I have not forgotten about the SS-30

I love your layouts!!! Is there anyway you can make the trim pots and transistors inline as well as the V shape? If you could make them able to accept both (extra holes) for either that would be great!? The reason I ask is because I tons of inline trimmers and I like to socket the trasistors with the straight sockets. No biggie, but would be nice.. Again your layouts are the best!!!

Obviously not. If I had them I'd start tracing them by myself.. They aren't really available here in Poland, not to mention I don't have any spare money to spend. ;P
But I wasn't asking only you. Maybe there's someone who has those two. They seem (well, looking at the YT videos) to produce some nice sounds.

Keep in mind that I made this PCB just to test the schematic. And even if I wanted to make it final, I'm not that good. I'm also cheap and try too much to squeeze the parts. That said, I welcome any constructive criticism. So here goes:

The layout. I originally intended to use only 2SK117 trannys, but it didn't work for Q1 and Q3. I redrew it, but one can simply bend the tranny's legs.
