When you say it will work, I will give it a try :)
Later I can make the fuzz from fuzzzentral :)
It works great. I built mine from it. If you've already bought the parts for the dunlop version, then I say go for it. :thumbsup

I've never seen jacks exactly like those, but the lug coming out near the threaded part is the ground lug.on your input jack, you're going to wire the ground from the battery to the lug in the middle(the one that's longest on the inside of it). A multi meter with continuity setting is good for determining which one that is. And of course, the lug that goes to the shortest one inside the jack is the input tip. Hope this helps.

Just use two of it's three leads. The wiper lug and one end lug. Put these leads in place of which ever resistor it's being used in place of. That's the simplest way I can explain it. Good luck with your project. I hope it gives you the sound you're looking for. I was actually a bit disappointed with my fuzz face build because the fuzz pots on them are pretty much useless. It sounds better than a big muff, though.

Hi all,

I just built this pedal but the volume is very very low. I have to max out my amp (on clean) for just a little bit of sound.
The fuzz tone is alright though.

What could it be?

If it's gating then it could be a bias issue but it sounds like a short, a wrong or bad part, or a bad solder joint to me... With such a simple circuit you can use an audio probe (google it) to figure out where you're losing signal.

Could one of the American guys please tell me what size hex key fits into the screws in the knobs? My knobs are loose and i don't wanna screw up on them, they are pretty :).

Actually, the jack sockets are pretty horrible, i had to exchange them. The are not made for the enclosure, the wall is thinner than what they are made for and they tend to wiggle. Not saying that this type of sockets - where you insert a steel screw into a soft plastic enclosure - is really a bad design. Dunlops' long time favourite though.

The rest looks very nice, pretty close to the original i'd say.

I got it, it is 1/16''.

By the way the rubber is not glued on the pedal, it just sticks on some sort of an adhesive foil, so don't put it on sun or it may peel :D

It took me a couple of afternoons to make a working and good looking pedal out of it - new sockets, new switch, re-glue the rubber, punch a bigger hole in it so i can possibly change the switch again without removing it, and to change a few funny looking wires.
By the way the quality of the wires inside is excellent.
It sounds great, Mr. Huge did i great job on the redesign, despite a few unusual parts.

So I bought this second hand and this will be arriving soon....
Where is the catch? Pictures looked great. Unless the sale is actually not a sale. Yet the address and identity of the seller are correct. And there is a system of review of the seller.
