T-Rex - Hobo Drive [schematic]
Hi all,
Stumbled across this demo https://youtu.be/2NXTSGiErdE, and hadn't heard of this one before. Looked around and couldn't really find much about it. Anyone have info on it? What it's based on? Schem? Looks like a pretty versatile pedal.
Thanks!

The guitar player in my band uses this pedal as his primary overdrive. It sounds great and he is completely in love with it. Like most T-Rex stuff, it's probably derivative of something else (maybe a fulldrive?), but I'm curious to know what's inside too.
Good morning all. I recently fixed a Hobo Drive that was suffering from a switch problem. For the most part they are all SMD components. As far as I could tell, the switching chip and voltage regulator were popped by either the wrong power supply or a spike of some sort. I was fortunate enough to get ahold of T-Rex and they sent me a schematic for the pedal. If anyone is interested, I can post the schematic. Great bunch at T-Rex IMO.

Here is the schematic, it's in two pictures. The lovely guys at T-Rex emailed me a picture due to the unavailability of a pdf.
okgb, I'm not entirely sure what it could be like. It's possible it's it's own thing. I normally stick to analog type circuits, ie overdive, distortion, wah, etc... I rely on good diagnosis in the eBay/Reverb adds to make a decision to buy to fix.

Thanks, but the component values are bad or not visible at all.
Could you please take four or more shots or scans of the schematic?

Click on the pic ...it will open a higher resolution pic so you can see it much better and you can easily see the values. At least it worked for me...actually very clear and easy to read ...and I'm using my phone...

It looks more like a RAT than anything else
buffer (necessary for jfet bypass) -> gain -> hard clipping / high end roll off -> make up gain -> tone / volume

Thanks, I had already done so, but now I copied the picture and pasted it into a graphic viewer and enlarged it, now i can see the details.
