Hey all!
I just got an Ibanez BS-10 Bass Stack in and wanted to know if someone has something like a schematic of this beauty...... as it looks some has been modded to this unit.
Thanks!

OK, had some time, I traced the unit
So here it is
This was in the unit I have
I "think" this is the stock version
I "think" my unit was modded as there were items on the "wrong" side of the PCB + some of the original parts were removed. Sounds really nice btw
VR1 = Drive, VR2 = Tone, VR3 = Level
No markings on the diodes

Could you check if R33 is really 1k? In the usual Maxon topology one can expect it to be 200 ohms

Woops; I messed two resistors upDirk_Hendrik wrote:Could you check if R33 is really 1k? In the usual Maxon topology one can expect it to be 200 ohms
I replaced the schematics!

Just finished building this one from Bernardduur's schematics. If I'm not mistaken, the tone pot is 500k rev log and the drive and level are 100k log. I used 1N4148's for diodes.
Thanks Bernardduur!

Nice!
Dunno about the pots; they were marked with a 'M' and their value.

The schematics have been 404'd. Could someone PM them to me ? Thanks.

A member here was kind enough to forward the schematic to me. Thanks.

I've been sick for the last week, so didn't get to follow this up sooner.
I'm not that much of an expert with electronics but I have assumed that Q5 and Q6 are the fet switches (with the rest of the switching circuit ommitted from the schematics).
I wired up the 'left' leg of the Q5 and Q6 transistors to a switch (from a schematic perspective) with as switch pole the junction of R12 and C7. This works for turning the distortion on and off. Hooking the effect up to an external true bypass switcher I can hear the effect buffer influence when off but I don't find this to be a negative (for bass).
This week I'm going to try altering my circuit to the modded version to see how that sounds.

Yes they are.. somehow I missed this one too..Nikolas wrote:Links are dead again
I wonder if someone could send me the schematics or if the links can be fixed.
Thanks

Hmmmm, this pedal is really nice! I build it last night because I'm getting bored with my fuzz sounds on bass...... this little box gives you tight sweet sounds with a lot of bass. On 50% of the tone stack the tone is really nice and full; lower is more bass, higher is more focussed treble. Add a clean blend and voila, I'm in heaven!

Hi, this is my fist post, but i have read the forum for some time. I have mounted some easy pedal, and i want to attenp it whit something like this, but would be pleasing to that somebody put some sample of his sound.
Would they recommend me some other pedal for interesting bass in this line?
Thanks
