Silly question but is anyone interested in the Proco Solo? I will try and post some gut shots over the weekend. I know the switching section is riveted to the case or something like that so getting gut shots of that will be hard, but I did sketch out the schematic for that section a year or so ago so I will dig that up.

More to come............... :thumbsup

Best way to determine wether there's interest is by posting the photo's. There's quite a few here, of various ages, nationalities and swapped citizenship that like to lurk here but dont have the balls to post.

But to give you a straight answer just as well. Yessir, I'm interested.

A friend of mine has one of these - it's crazy intense distortion; not like any Rat. Very "modern" Heavy Metal.

the soldering
yes - no machine soldered smd here - through hole technology done by hand - I have never had to resolder a dry solder contact in any of ProCo's products - period!!!
Cannot say the same for the crappy "X wing" switches they used to use though

It definitely needs a flux cleaner bath. Components are mounted sloppy too. Overall, it looks very rushed.

Here is the main PCB.
Thanks Dosmun - how are those component values coming along - I have the overlay ready to upload when all values are known.
cheers

The blue diodes are a GE diode that ProCo also uses on the Dirty Rat. I will get some values tonight when I get home from work.

I DON´T believe that they are GE-Diodes, instead I assume that they are schottky diodes which seem to be marked "CD SH 270".

I can't see any of the markings on the Blue diodes and the board is riveted to the case. The ProCo site says the Dirty Rat uses GE diodes and they look like the ones in the Solo. http://www.ratdistortion.com/history.htm

Bajaman, do you have a overlay with values for the main board? It would be easier that way to give you the values you need. I have the caps figured out but not sure what would be the easiest way to give them to you.
