I'm just wondering...is there anything going on there that I couldn't do myself?
Seems not...

Hi!
If someone's interested I have this verified veroboard version of SP-5. It's lacking the gyrator and bypass circuit, though.
The sound is "a bit" on the darker side. The output cap is quite large (10uF), so maybe that would be the first place to tinker with.
Otherwise it's a distortion pedal like so many others, nothing too fancy. Not too far from the TM-5.

I don't know why, but I seem to have missed a verified vero version of this on tagboardeffects. And it's been there for ages... D'oh.
Needles to say, I strongly recommend that version over this one :D

The attachment seems broken, can someone repair it?

Found the schematic here:

via mirosol's blog

Not my drawing, but I have attached it to try and preserve it here at FSB forever:

Looks like a Rat with a second opamp gyrator stage for the EQ control, along with buffers to allow electronic bypass switching.

Thank you, needed it to do a repair, although I managed without.

Not a very good sounding pedal I have to say.
