Just found these during my endless search for a OD-820 schematic
May be old news but if not...I just wanted to share .
edit: see revised schem in gorins post below
The tone controls is perhaps a bit intersting?
Another schem. I found was (the not current production) Maxon OD-880. Schematic in this blog->

Hello.
Nice to meet you.
The connection diagram of DS-830 which gorin wrote on September 30, 2006 is a mistake.
I am gorin.
The connection diagram which I corrected.

I may misunderstand it.
I am sorry in strange English.

You might be a Hoarder if....
Jimi I think your house would be a great place to spend a vacation. Bring a tele, an old champ, some good rocking chairs, and lots of those wonderful McDonald's gift certificates everyone receives for Christmas for us to share hot apple pies. and lots of solder

It might pay for a vacation or too, I'll bet.

Here's my (already verified) stripboard layout for DS-830. It's per Gorin's schematic.

tayda will get you 4558's for $0.16 a piece:
http://www.taydaelectronics.com/catalog ... ?q=4558+op and their shipping to Europe is so cheap it's almost ridiculous.
The SK246 is a N-channel JFET, and is just used as an input buffer here, so any of the usual suspects (J201, 2N5457, 2N5458, BF245 etc.) would be a suitable replacement. Be sure to check the pinout before you solder it in though

There is an error in this schematic. C03 must be 3n9 instead of 39n!
