Which pedal to mod to make a vibrato like?

I am looking for a cheap pedal (i was thinking of a chorus, may be a boss because it is small) to mod make a vibrato like (something like a vb-2). I seen good mod to make on a small clone but it is too big for my pedal board. So if you have a mod give it to me. (i know : cutting the dry signal, but i a am near zero in electronic)
Also i've seen a phaser boutique pedale (can't remmember the name, it is a red one) which can make a vibrato like, is it possible on all phaser? It is another question but i was amazed by what some phaser can make with depth on 0, but impossible on a phase 90 cause no depth pot. Which resistor can be replaced by a pot?
Thanks

And with the same principle too : 100% wet mix.
I only give negative feedback.

You can mod the Boss CE2, BF2, and HF2 with the Vibrato mod
but because of how the pedals are designed, the whole pedal and signal coming out of is killed when its disengaged (turned off)
http://www.erikhansen.net/?page_id=26
This shows how to add a small bypass circuit to overcome this.
If you have another doubler (chorus, flanger) thats stereo, where one output is the effect (wet) and the other is the direct (dry)
use the effect output only and if need be, plug an unused cable, or even a headphone adapter into the direct output.
Altho I did notice a small drop in volume with my Boss CE3 in direct/effect mode,
might it something to do with only getting half a signal...

You could use a Boss CE-3. Those are cheap on the bay, and do actually allready have Vibrato built in. One of the two stereo modes sends the direct signal to one channel and the detuned signal to the other. Bypass works normal.
When modding that one you could focus on the tone of the circuit
Just have a look at the schematic.
Have a a nice day

That´s just the feedback resistor. Even if you remove it completely, the depth is far away from "0"...sinner wrote:Try R28 with 100k potnothingman wrote:phase 90 cause no depth pot. Which resistor can be replaced by a pot?

Have a look at the built reports at tonepad.com, there are some hints how to make a depth pot. This seems to be the best solution, it works great in my built:
I also did the feedback resistor mod, but only with a switch, no pot.Depth Pot: Replace the 1M resistor wich is in series with the trim pot, and add a 1M linear pot in series with a 680 ohm resistor. This is a better mod than the "mix mod", because in lets you control the amount of phasing signal perfectly.

Tried it, works 100%, a bit subtle though but can get crazy with the pots maxed.

Try the Danelectro Chicken Salad. Its cheap, its small, and easily hackable. I just got one from peeBay to hack. I plan on rehousing and making the internal depth trimpot external. Its also easy to open up the black box containing a lamp and 4 LDRs and fiddle with the modulation. Here's the only links I can find atm, but I've seen several done like this:

...and here's the thread that convinced me to give the Chicken Salad a go:

I should have said that its a Univibe clone ) So I'll just have to rehouse it in a volume pedal I just happen to have lying around...
