Here's perfboard layout of (AFAIK) Colorsound WOW Pedal

It's not exact sized to original as I don't have one here, but it's close to what it was back then and is now (in current reissue).

Perfboard is standard IC pitch (0,1") resistors 1/2W CC, caps are sized for new production orange Vishay/BC/Phillips - Vishay BC 0,1uF 250V 10mm raster, and Vishay BC 0,22uF 250V 15mm raster or vintage Tropicaps of similar raster

Sized to take "Halo" type spaced inductors. I trust real ones are 800mH giving different sweep range. To mimic it change 10nF (*) "sweep cap" to bigger one like 15nF-27nF, this should shift the WOW range into more growling side of darkness

Don't forget to ground chassis sweetheart

Not by me. Sadly i have no much feedback about project verifications, as the comments on t.org are masivly attacked by spambots, so i switched it off. It's true to the schematic, so shouldn't be a problem.

Be a man, funk the shit out of it, and let me know ;-)

Did i say, i freaking hate perfboard? No? I FREAKING HATE PERFBOARD!!

I built it and it´s not working. DAMn, spend some time debugging, but with no effort. I´m pretty sure I made mistakes. So, I will keep on debugging, and maybe I´ll build it again. The funny thing is, if i touch the trannies I get a (very distorted and ugly) sound...

I´ll keep you updated :hmmm:

BTW, want me to do the PCB of it?

I'm quite sure I did the stripboard as well if you feel more comfortable with that sort of thing ;)

I´ll keep debugging tomorrow, enough for today. You don´t have to make a pcb (i hate drilling the holes lol), let´s see if i figure out what went wrong...

I have to learn how to use perf, so it´s ok!

So i´ll keep you updated, good night sweetheart

Steel wool is the key ;) 000, or 0000 rock ass. Also must-have-tool to clean home made PCB's

The only problem is, that the bypass signal is louder than the effected signal?! Any Ideas? I had the same problem with my GGG modable Wah once...

Yey :)

Maybe lower the input resistor value?

I recently found a drawing I made of the circuit board for the original colorsound wah pedal. It's same layout that Sinner posted and the version I drew says that the transistors used in it were BC169B, same as the overdriver. Just another piece of history for the colorsound wah versions.

Two other differences I found are that the 10uF cap in the bottom left corner is 4.7, and the 470 ohm in the middle above the inductor is actually 470K.
