Hard to say without building both versions and comparing them side by side. In Sproul are significantly different phase caps, so change in tone is for sure. I don't know at the moment if it sounds better though... Anyway, good idea is to mount phase caps in sockets and try both versions or even other values. I'll build factory version and slightly modified with other mods for sure.
As R45 and R46 are lowered in Sproul from 4k7 to 1k8 so there are wider range of speed settings (lower value - more speed).

Allied does not ship outside US, but they could be found in UK sellers, as well.

I think they will, they have a wide range of working resistance, nowadays produced they must have fast response,
sensitivity is not so important in UV

Hello guys! I'm new here.
Thanks for this topic, i found a lot information here and started building my Univibe clone.
Can anyone help me find an original Univibe enclosure size (may be some drawings)? I am planning make a full copy from sheet metal.
Thanks!

And of course some pics :) :
PCB was cut on cnc mill out of 23 years old phenolic paper copper clad laminate. Now I awaiting electronic parts from banzaimusic.

Unfortunately, this is remains a mystery, you can try to guess the dimensions from guts and the existing PCB.
I used Hammond 1550G, It houses circuit board, toroidal transformer and controls without any problems.
I have stopped the project because I can not find suitable control pedal. Any suggestions?

Very original old method making the board by cutting the copper coating, I have not seen this over 20 years :applause:
