Based on a bass overdrive pedal from a very famous North American amplifier manufacturer, but in a much smaller form factor designed to fit inside a Hammond 1590BB or equivalent NSC enclosure, and with true bypass
The rar file contains the Sprint Layout v6.0 file, the gerber files and the drill file.

The board is designed to be cut into four separate pieces - the input and DC power socket, the footswitch , the output socket and the main amplifier effect board. The rar file contains the Sprint Layout v6.0 file, the gerber files and the drill file.

The board is shown with the screen printing reversed - this is an X-ray view, because all the components are fitted on the printed circuit board on the inside of the top panel of the enclosure.
sorry if there is any confusion. The three electrolytic capacitors are fitted on the bottom side of the board and laid on their side - they can be attached with a bit of hot glue or silicon rubber etc.

Is that the 3pdt daughterboard you usually use in your own builds?
And this looks amazing!

The input and output jack socket board footprints are designed to fit the Neutrik NRJ6HF-1 and NRJ4HF-1 sockets (you can use the stereo NRJ6HF-1 in place of the NRJ4HF-1 - just cut off the middle legs ).
For copyright reasons I am unable to post the original G****en Kr***er factory schematic - BUT perhaps someone would like to redraw it for this thread
It can be downloaded from here : http://elektrotanya.com/gallien-krueger ... nload.html

Don't forget to download the rar file in the first post - it contains the gerber files as well as the Sprint Layout v6 pcb file

Baja,
Good to see that, after being through a lot of nature caused trouble over the last years, you seem to be back on track and yourself again!

Hi ggedamed
Yes that schematic looks even better than the original
I cannot see any mistakes with it, but you may like to add the true bypass 3PDT footswitch wiring just to complete the schematic
Thanks so much for the good work and thanks Dirk - still life in this old dog yet
This circuit is very similar to the overdrive channel fitted in the Gal**n Kru**er 2001RB bass amplifier - although in the amplifier it runs off a much larger DC voltage supply rail.
cheers

Here it is, one schematic with switching included coming right up !
BTW, bass players love their blend control. I think it would be a nice addition to the circuit. And there is a op amp inverter at the end that can do exactly that.- chicago_mike

I have the pdf of the layouts of the origionals and it always confused me why the pedal was so dang big.

Has anyone ever made a vero board for this one? I've never made a pcb before.. very interested in building this pedal!
