Very nice work.
I really like the way you got that daughter board on-board!

Nice! Kind of like the way Scott Swartz did it but keeping the Ibanez values.

What I wonder is how to get pornographic and use another clock and pair of chips. Dual gange delay pot?

So, how does it sound? The V3205's I tried had much more output than the MN3205.

Nice work! I may actually try this mod on my own AD9... How did you mount that second board on the basic pcb?

@ Dan,

The output levels of the coolaudio chip aren't of much concern. The filtering electronics before and after the BBD's still have a far larger headroom than the BBD's itself.

@Serge,
If you take a look at the schematic you will notice that the 8 testpoints used correspond to the pins of a MN3205. Under one of the 2 chips these testpoints are arranged in such a way that with 8 pieces of wire at the bottom side of the piggyback board they stick into the main PCB in a 1 to 1 connection.

The daughter board is going to plug into the orginal spot where the single BBD used to be.

Use this as a reference:

Can this be done with the reissue ad9? Jist licked one up and the seller "didn't notice" there some issues with what he was selling And now he's gone silent. Stupid me...since ime going to be fixing the issues...getting curious.
