I am currently reviewing this project and have incorporated a lot of the mods mentioned. I have also completely redesigned the printed circuit board layout and it is presently being fabricated - spare boards will be available - PM me for details if interested. I am also working on redrawing the new schematic, but this may take a few days to appear. in the meantime, here are some pictures of how the new board is looking.
cheers

I can sell you one of my pcb, but at this stage it is unverified to work until i have actually built and troubleshooted it. If you want to give it a go unverified, then PM me for further details.

We do not know. There is no fixed recipe for what to replace. Start of by check if all DC supply voltages are available.

I have a question to CX-3 users/builders. I've finished one recently, with MN3007 instead of the MN3004. It works, but I'm not sure about one thing.. It's noticeable only on fast setting - modulation effect speeds up, slows down.. but there's this one brief moment like it was going to stop.. it's hard to explain.
Here's the sample. https://www.dropbox.com/s/q59u9mzoj5j6thw/cx3.mp3 (alternative link, to wav format https://www.dropbox.com/s/fhcjomrezboxeqk/cx3.wav)
Slow setting first, then fast.
