@ gitaar0....

Have you checked all of your connections? Sounds like a potentially bad solder joint somewhere.
Have you tried a different photocell/LDR value?

I checked and double checked them, but I will sure check them again.
I have not had the chance to change the LED/LDR combo. I will do that too.

Did you have it working with the aquaboy (double delay time board included) and be able to use all of the range of the depth pot?

Thanks, Marc

I checked the soldering and that turned out ok.

Changed the LDR (tried a few) and that made a difference. I can now use the whole range of the depth pot without the delay cutting out. That is good, but with the depth pot down I still have modulation. Is there something I can do to have all the modulation gone with the pot turned down (without having to find yet another LDR)? I already changed the resistor before the led but that did not solve it yet.

Any suggestion?

Marc

had the same problem what i do is i turn the rate/speed of the modulation full that solve it....

another problem i have is that the delay has a very small amount of overdrive specially if i pick the strings hard is there a way to fix it

thanks

Hi Plugzz,

I guess you are talking about the aqua puss delay?
I had that same problem.
There is a thread at http://www.madbeanpedals.com/forum/inde ... pic=262.15
"My experience was that the BBD was getting too much signal and that was causing the BBD to distort.
I replaced R15 with a trimpot to find out at what value the signal was loud enough and clean enough. Then I removed the trimpot and measured the value at wich the trimpot was set and used that value for the resistor at R15. So yes you can substitute R15 with a different value, but you have to find out what works for you I ended up with 56k."

Is there another way besides turning the mod rate on full to stop the board from modulating that anyone has discovered? I've just built another aquaboy with mod and dd, and it has turned out with the same problem, I'm a bit suprised not many others have noticed.

Also is there a mod, or way to making the minimum rate even slower? like, unbalanced 33 slow? or drifty old synth slow? or is the tl072, the limiting factor in this?

Hi, iam from Brazil, escuse my poor english.

I don´t have osciloscope.

I have a problema with calibration of Aquaboy, closest I came was a reverb.

I follow all pdf´s instructions, but nothing.

I build it with MN3005.

Anyboy can help me.

If it's an Aquaboy you're working on, you may want to try posting over in madbean's forum:

Right now the demand is not high enough to justify another order without them being prohibitively expensive.

If demand picks up, I'm certainly open to making another order.

My question is - are you positive that you're using genuine MN3005's ?

Or how about Quadruple Time Delay Boards with a 4049 Buffer on board

I might take one or two more DDs depending on how certain projects go.
