Conrad's been around for at least a decade. Was using them back in school as well as farnell.

Conrad started in 1923...

A lot of parts are too expensive there and the service is quite lousy. In the german forums, we call Conrad the "Apotheke" (pharmacy), referring to the old german term "Apothekerpreise", which means "exorbitant prices".
They have a big store in Hannover, where I work two days a week, but all that I buy there is solder, wire and good old SK10. And sometimes Eddystone 1590B enclosures - they are quite expensive, but sometimes I want to chose one from the shelve that is free of cavities or scratches.

But I order most pedal-related stuff from musikding.de or uk-electronic.de, they have exactly what I need, the service is great and esp. the latter has very good shipping conditions. Both are one-man-businesses, that alone is a good reason to support them.

The enclosure prices was the thing why I was so excited actually. Much less than the competition here, and they stock the BIGass enclosures (in good prices too) that I search my ass off trying to get here

why don't you buy a few alpha pots? That's one of the few parts that are quite cheap.
