MusikDing 1590DD copy screws replacement
Hello everybody, some time ago I purchased this 1590DD copy enclosure on musikding, for the evenience of a big project
https://www.musikding.de/BoxType-DD
It cames with 6 screws in a blister, inside the box, but I've lost those damned screws!
I've tested various other screws form standard 1590B and BB boxes (both Hammond and Eddystone), but none of them fit. For sure the standard 6-32 x 1/2 for the original Hammond 1590DD not fit. The seller has no spares for this enclosure. Someone here knows the scres needed?

Looks like the same box that Reichelt sells: https://www.reichelt.com/fi/en/aluminum ... tct=pol_14 unfortunately while they have the datasheet available screw data is not included. Another box by the same manufacturer (RND) says the screws are metric M3.5 https://www.reichelt.com/fi/en/aluminum ... stct=pol_6 so maybe give those a try?

Musikding clones use metric screws, along with the rest of civilized world . M3.5x0.6 in this particular case.nexion777 wrote:Hello everybody, some time ago I purchased this 1590DD copy enclosure on musikding, for the evenience of a big project

M3.5x06 and 6-32x1/2 are not interchangeable.

And while I fully subscribe to above quote.... I feel that imperial threaded steel screw work way better in aluminium (aluminum for Americans) cases.plush wrote: use metric screws, along with the rest of civilized world
Thanks, maybe I'll get out of this mess.
To Rockola: it seems the same exact enclosure! Before to see this one I was assuming that was a product of Daier (wich makes similar ones), and asked them the screws type. Unanswered...
To Plush: thanks a lot, i'm now in battle to find them. Sadly, not so easy at a decent price, until now I just finded spares at www.metricscrews.us but the shipping costs (to Italy) are terrible... Far more cheaper the puchasing of a couple of more enclosures from musikding and to use 4 screws out of 6 on each box. I hope to have more luck on ebay or alibaba.
I completely agree for the metric vs imperial point .

Nexion,
i think you can find them in any "ferramenta" (italian word) shop, or even in a Brico store.
online i've found this: https://it.rs-online.com/web/p/viti-metriche/9087491/
(100 pz, and 5€ shipment)
