A*ua P*ss pcb order - round 3?

Information
I've received quite a few PM's asking if I have any more AP boards left (which I don't).
Running a poll to guage interest in a 3rd group order. In order to get the same deal as the first two orders, we'd have to get the quantity up to around 100 or so (see previous group buy thread for the pricing breakdown). Keep in mind you'd also have to get your hands on an MN3005.
It will be a few weeks before I have the time to organize another order....

I just bought one of the previous PCBs, but you can't have too much mojo.
I'd probably be in for two.

What if maybe you did a new version that was reworked slightly to use the cheap V3205? Seems like a good way to do it to make it even easier for people to build them without having to scare up a 3005.

That's a great idea....soulsonic wrote:What if maybe you did a new version that was reworked slightly to use the cheap V3205? Seems like a good way to do it to make it even easier for people to build them without having to scare up a 3005.
One of these days I'll get around to finishing that layout, which is what I was working on before the AP came to life. Member jfromel had a good idea for using a dual power plane on that board so that you could use either an MN3005 or an MN3205 in the same circuit..... interesting.Igloo wrote:I am OK for Aqua Pi in this lifetime but I would love the Ad-80!

Ok, you do THAT and I'd be all over it.

Great idea!abfackeln wrote:Or I could do a run of bajaman's Wet Cat MN3205 version (if he's not opposed) - that way it would fit into a regular enclosure.
Do this and you'll probably reach the target number of boards really fast.
Please say yes bajaman...
Thanks!

What would be a reasonable price for one of these?abfackeln wrote:Keep in mind you'd also have to get your hands on an MN3005.

Any reason you couldn't put some DIP switches to switch polarities for MN3005/MN3205?

Now that's a good idea as well..... I'm just finishing up the MN3205 layout of bajaman's Wet Cat in anticipation of him allowing a pcb run. Also working on the modded AP board to allow for use of a MN3205.theehman wrote:Any reason you couldn't put some DIP switches to switch polarities for MN3005/MN3205?
lolbou - the last batch of boards (red ones) was error free AFAIK - i.e. no jumpers or extra wires needed.
sevenisthenumber - if you look back through the various AP threads, you'll see that price is entirely dependent on the number of boards ordered.

Thanks for the reply abfackeln... And thanks for your lovely work on this pedal (I did read the whole thread)...
But I found a Guyatone PS-006 Analog Echo made in Japan yesterday, replaced the 1.50 switch and cleaned it up... And I have now a nice analog delay, which I believe is really close to the Aqua Puss, even as regards to circuitry... So since I haven't got any MN3005 more, I'm off for this - so looooovely - project...
Dear, Jacques Pedals sells the Guyatone for 125 euros on ebay...
