Nope. A R5101 Reticon is not suitable for a new project. They're more rare than Pygmee foreskin leather. But since I have one of these with a (thoroughly) confirmed dead Reticon a rework for a PT2399 is in the make. Not analog anymore but still with the same heavy filtering which will then be called "analog voiced" :blackeye

Definitely. When I traced this one about 2 years ago I had quite a pleasurable email conversation with Carlsbro as well. They did not have this stuff archived anymore so were happy with all support that enabled them to help their customers with enquiries about old junk.

Compare that to "they're ripping me off by tracing my product" howlers :thumbsup

Well this thread has turned out very useful.
Would anyone have any idea why this pedal might have a faint "ghost" wet signal coming through even when the effect is off?
Looking at the schematics I have the MK2 version.
From the notes on the schematics it looks like mine hasn't had the first change made but the second resistor hasn't been changed.

Thanks so much for uploading the schematics! You helped me save
My echo and also modify it to work with external power adapter,
Add a power swich and reverse protection diode.
Now looking into a true bypass wiring with a new swich,
And maybe add a 15V power regulator (although the circuit has a 15V zener
Diode already).
The only concern I have is the ‘metalic’ Sound the repeats
Have with a very long delay and ‘swell’ knob on high.
I guess it’s the nature of this unique reticon chip?

Thank You for all of the information. I recently acquired a mk1. Does anyone know how much current these draw? I’m in the US and I either need to convert to DC or find a voltage adapter. Either way, it would be useful to know what sort of wattage I’m working with.

Thanks in advance
