It's still the only one of the F-60x series I don't have:

Vorg F-501 Phase Shifter
Pearl F-601 Phase Shifter
Pearl F-602 Warp Sound
Pearl F-603 Graphic Equalizer
2x Pearl F-604 Flanger Analog Delay Effect

I tried to swap one of the flangers for a delay a few times, but didn't succeed yet ;)

I don't think I ever thought about that with this series, but you're right, I never saw them anywhere else (any exceptions could have been bought on eBay)...

It's like with some of those MIJ OEM brands: Sanox (FR,BE?), Avora (NL?), Redson (FR?),...

Maybe I should sell mine ?

Anyway, here is a picture of the solder side if somebody has a use for it.

Hmmmm, so here's a first try for the schematic

Linkie

V is -15V or -12V depending on the PSU
All IC's (dual opamps) are grounded at pin 8 and are fed -15V at pin 4

SW1, input selection:
1 = -20 dB
2 = -35 dB
3 = -50 dB

Sw2, output selector:
1 = delay only
2 = -20 dB
3 = -35 dB

SW3, Effect:
1 = delay
2 = Chorus
3 = Duplex

Great work so far Rogier! (vankantie zeker?)

Just after a quick scan:
- is that 4k7 => 1uF network from base to collector on the input resistor really there like that?
- recheck the BBD output. It should have a resistor to ground. That 10uF cap canot be there like that.
- I wonder how the input signal flows to the BBD. Definitely not trough that 100 k resistor connected to the inverting input of U1a. There should be something like a mixer stage there mixing input and feedback together.

But nevertheless, you did a lot of work and it's a bitchy PCB. I should find the time to verify.

Vierdaagse he :)

I've checked the notes and corrected em on the schematic; she's real hard to work with so I'll check my trace later for more mistakes :)

hey bernarddur,

could you look at the pics on the first page of this thread and check for those two wires that i asked about (near the mn3005) ? i still have one thing that bothers me with this unit: when i change the setting to chorus and choose short delay times, i get a considerable amount of distortion. but in delay setting, even with the short felay times, there is no distortion.

cheers,
lohstah

In my unit the holes for the wires are there but no wires are added

On your pics I see three empty holes.

In mine there is a transistor there

ok, thanks, so these are test points for calibration.
these pictures were taken before i put everything together again, so now there is a transistor in there alright.

cheers,

Got mine to work this day.........nice nice nice delay btw!

the delay time pot was backwards....... for the rest everything worked as planned. I have some hum but I think that is due to my PSU (bad one).

On the schematic is the peak LED backwards; I'll change it!

If you place a (design missing) 10µF electrolytic/tantalum in parallel to the 15V zener diode the hum will even get better at lower voltages because at the emitter the circuit "sees" this as 10µF x (ß of the transistor).

This cap should always be placed to reduce the noise produced by the zener-diode.
You even can improve this circuit by using a resistor (e.g. 470E - 1k) between the zener-diode and the base of the transistor (where the cap should be located).

Beside the effect that you create a LPF with that, you have the benefit of protecting the zener diode in case that the transistor fails.

I have a deal for you:
If you take guts from the units you alread have (to trace it of course :wink: ) I will send you my F-605 for a very good price. Make a suggestion - the last I have seen sold for EUR 180,-- and EUR 250,-- on evilbay.

Sold or listed?
The rough average I've seen them go for is around 120.
