It's not about the schematics mate My friend have a nice 5e3 chassis and is willing to trade it with me for one of my pedals, I just want to have the preamp board blueprint to make easy fit into this chassis. I want to do the same thing with bassman I'm willing to build one day. I can do it easy way buying those boards from turretboards.com, but... well, I'm not really cool finantial-wise newdays. I have some blank materials, turrets, turret stacking gear, I can do it easily myself, but I need plans
BTW, accidentally I've found 5e3 cab plans on-line, I'll upload them tomorrow, as my wife netbook is a piece of shit. Back in 90's I had faster internet...

- my favorite amplifier: Low wattage SE amps
- Completed builds: Many many many true bypass and voicing mods on wahs.
A few BYOC kits and DS-1 mods and eventual murder then rebirth into an actually useful pedal, Bad Stone clone, various Rangemasters/SilconMasterBlaster, The worlds greatest gutted GCB-95 volume pedal conversion with various switching options for controlling amps. Repaired many tube amps, scratchbuilt Marshall 18 watt clone and Supro 1616t rebuild. Delays, fuzz, dirt, every Madbean project I could afford. Here are Weber's layouts:

I'd scale them to fit the chassis and print them that size then mark your board using it as a drill guide. Happy you are working on a bunch of stuff dude!

If I'm not mistaken I think you can print and use this layout as a template for your board.
Some data:
42 Turret lug holes
3.125 x 8.25 inches long

That seems about right, Hoffman is pretty good about making that stuff consistent with his drill masks.

Draw a layout in Illustrator and size out your parts if your making the board by hand. That's what I did in mine. I'm redoing it though. You should try incorporating the 6G3 preamp instead of the 5F6. Just use a dual gang pot for the tone control. I just converted mine to 6G3 specs and am loving it. I'm gonna tweak the bright channel more to the liking of a Marshall 18watt pre (close, but obviously not exact) and then move the current bright channel over to the 'normal' inputs. There's so much you can do with the 5e3 as a starting point.
Here's how my board turned out, I can't stand cramming parts into pre-made templates so I did my own. Everything fits nice and tidy.

1W CC's, that looks nice, and I bet keep the noise floor down a bit too I was thinking to do the same in mine and use Bradley's RCR series, but I can't track 100k 1W's
I'll start with stock 5e3 first, just to check what I like/dislike and after that I'll mod that shit back and forth for fun

Yeah that's what I did. Stock it's kinda a one trick pony. I know a lot of guys like it stock but to me I wanted to turn it into a nice versatile combo/bedroom amp and it definitely does that now. Doing the 6G3 thing is nice because you still get the warm/fuzzy tweed tone but the volume controls become more usable and you can get a really nice clean tone outta the amp. Swapping the 5Y3 for a 5V4 (the Gerald Weber recommendation) is also a good idea. I put the 5Y3 in when I wanna play dirty and the 5V4 when I want something punchier/cleaner.

I put a fender tonestack in my 5E3 and I love it. Great cleans.
