Don't forget Schematic Heaven - lots of good schematic info there.
I LOVE valve amplifiers - and I'ved built a few in my time.
As Jim Marshall said on a recent visit to New Zealand, when asked why he still produced "old fashioned" vacuum tube amplifiers - "It's in the harmonics, dear girl" (the interviewer was a female of the species, and probably was not even born when Jim released his Bluesbreaker JTM45 amps) - no not those awful reissues with the missing filter choke!!!!
  :D

Great Links, thanks a lot.

Here are some sites i learned a lot from, whilst building my Dyrtomat Bass Amp, some kind of amorphously learning object.
I'm not that skilled yet, but work is in progress.

http://www.radau5.ch/basics_2.html german site, lots of Literature

http://www.valvewizard.co.uk/ pretty good explanation of basics

http://www.pmillett.com/tecnical_books_online.htm lots of information to cope with

http://www.pacificrecone.com/JackDarrBook.html Basics in Detail

There all worth a glance if you want to get into Tube Amplifiers.

Regards

Mathias

How about http://tdsl.duncanamps.com/tubesearch.php?

I use that site quite a bit when planning or building. Access to dozens of other datasheet sites from one search.

In addition, they have a nice free tone stack calculator program, which is also quite helpful for planning and building.

EDit: doh. I see it is already listed. Good show!
