Hi!

Can you post it somewhere?
For instance in: http://www.zshare.net
Its really simple: Go to that page, it lets you browse to the zip file on your computer, upload the file, mail the upload info to yourself so you can delete it later, post the link here.

Thanks!
Btw: That zip seems to be mostly the DIY vero's. The "commercial" vero's are not in there I think.

Thanks for that file.

I have a lot of the commercial overdrives on paper. If anyone is looking for a specific one I might have it and be able to scan it for you.

No they were just the ones hosted on Indyguitarist. I haven't seen any others

I rarely stop by these days but I am going to chime in here...

First let me say I have an overwhelming regard for the huge contribution that Torchy has made to the DIY Stripboard scene. That guy has been so prolific and was one of the first get so many people interested in good old stripboard.

That being said he can REALLY pull some surprising stunts from time to time.

When this place was getting started, I posted a bunch of Vero layouts as my contribution. Some where a tad controversial at the time. I banged them out quickly and once Torchy showed up here, after greeting him, I privately asked him to re-verify one of my l layouts, Box of Rock vero (pg 1 in the thread) sent him the latest update and the ********* went and re-released it in his own name! Pretty much a part for part redraw with prettier graphics.

He directly copied it and posted it as his own. The two have been on this site for ages. Very piss-poor act in my opinion. And not the first time...

I used to respect him a lot but like I said, he can suddenly act very strangely.
I haven't posted any Veros for a long time. I think it annoyed me more than I realized.

It's strange. When I first started I wanted to PCB everything. Then I moved to vero/perf. Then back to PCB. Now I love vero again! Arrrrgghhh, when will it stop! I don't think you can beat vero for ease and speed of production on small scale projects...

I've got most if not all of those that were hosted at indy. I will not post them, because, frankly, that's his work and if he wants to pull them I think it is kind of a dick move to post them publically. However, if anyone wants to get my batch, PM me with an email address.

noble but very contradictory. there is no honor among "thieves" hahah, this is the one place where we don't have IP police, and I want it to stay that way thank you.

oh don't get me wrong, i'm all for free information. and yeah, i guess not posting them kind of contradicts things a bit. i guess for me the circuits were always what i thought should be open. it's like, i don't think there is anything wrong with studying van gogh's starry night to learn how to paint and possibly pain your own version, but i wouldn't take the actual painting without asking :)

no worries anyhow. BUILD ON!

The first time I saw this forum, it left a bad taste in my mouth due to one of Torchy's comments.

Great stuff Torchy!

What happened that this stuff isn't available through diystomp anymore? Did he pull all?

I've no idea, but I wont link to a damn thing on DIYStompFreaks - btw, ever wonder where Tungngruv got his schematics from ?
I got a lot of the schematics from Joe G. himself and on Ampage.

I admit Torchy made a lot of layouts for people, taking requests and stuff but Paul (Torchy) seems to have good and bad days. He created a few layouts for me, I mailed him some cool trannies for his Java boost as a kind of payment for taking the time, and when he came on hard times and lost some of his gear, I mailed him an Ibanez 7 string that was a pretty decent guitar that just needed to be put back together and repainted. I also covered the $40.00 for mailing it to England. I don't have any hard feelings toward Torchy, but if he posts any more layouts, I'd recomend downloading them ASAP.

You never know how long before they are taken down.

I'd suggest that between us, most of Torchy's layouts would be saved. I know I have a heap from over the years.
Can they still be posted to the site ?
Otherwise, requests and sharing by pm would work I guess.

Personally i try to do my own Vero layouts these days.
The software is free, it's stimulating to the brain and good practise.. and I don't find it too hard with most circuits...
Also, I like to make compact designs and use as small a board as possible.

I don't want to upset any providers of layouts, especially Torchy, his layouts actually made me start building pedals ( He can pull them ( If he asks i wont hand them out ) or not as far as im concerned, he put alot of effort into them and if he replies about me handing them out ( not that i am ) i respect that ) however, i do have a large collection of vero layouts, belonging to several parties and i am happy to share them, if you want them please ask, i dont have a list but if you ask and i have it i will do my best to get it to you. ( I have vero/strip layouts to over two hundred pedals from booster to vibrato )

Zip them up and put them on Megaupload or somewhere similar as one big download. Keeps the sharing spirit active! :thumbsup
