Hi. I'm new on the forum. In the past I have made fx kits (trem & Red Llama clone) but I want to understand more, not just following a kit. I purchased all the parts to build the NPN boost from ebay today and can't wait to get a hold of the bit and get started. No doubt you will be hearing my cries on the forum asking for help...

Welcome to fsb, and good luck with the boost. Are you doing your own pcb/vero/perf layout from a schematic?

I built that circuit using vero board recently. I like it. I still need to box it up though. Hoping that eliminates some of the noise (not that bad). Cool circuit. Have fun! The Bazz Fuss is also a great simple build if you like fuzz pedals. :D

I fancy doing a point to point MK1 Tonebender. There are a few vids on youtube. Currently reading the Beavis Audio piece on turning schematics into circuits...

if you're new to all of this, then that's maybe not the best idea for now. true point to point seems pretty hard, though I've never tried it myself.

Yes, sorry I did mean turretboard. That does seem a little difficult.
