identification of schematic symbol

Ok, you got your soldering iron and nothing is going to hold you back, but you have no clue where to start or what to build. There were others before you with the same questions... read them first.

apologies if this is the wrong area to ask this - seemed the right one to me, so mods please move it to the right place if I got it wrong.
I'm having a go (my first go, I might add - complete n00b) at making a pcb for the ibanez flying pan fp-777 phaser and I sourced the original schems.
I'm trying to translate it into Eagle (again, my first attempt - it's pretty confusing  ) but I'm having trouble identifying this pair of components.
looks like we've a 100K resistor on the right, but the left is what?
possibly an LED/LDR, the pair being some kind of photocoupler?
any advice greatly appreciated...

The thing on the left is an LDR.

sweet - thanks
so I guess (seeing that there are only 2X LEDs in this thing) that the 4 of them are spread 2 per LED. will see how I get on and thanks again
