It's kinda funny. I've started drawing this as soon as DAM issued this. After I done first version I realized it's almost stock Zonk Machine layout with just a few updates

) I did the Zonk couple days earlier than this one... Oh well. My clone is almost done

I built one of these up yesterday. Nice layout!

Didn't have a polystyrene cap for the .001, so I just used a film cap.

It works, but very mis-biased. Do I treat the bias points like I would on a typical MKI? I know the circuit is tweaked a bit. Advice?

I get nice fuzz with my guitar volume cranked, but the decay is gated/overly spitty. When I turn the vol. on guitar down even a bit, it cuts out completely.

So Bias issue, yes? Or do I need to spend more time with transistor selection?

@gmr1 try to play with q2 collector resistor. In those gutshoots of FZ673 I've seen values are 8k2, or 10k. No idea what voltage should be there, but my guess is around of -7v.This is basically mk1/zonk circuit. Fallow the rules for mk1/zonk then

Jesus, I know DAM stuff looks well made and all but £1300 for a Fuzz pedal is beyond belief.

They really must be some of the most overpriced pedals on the market, but I should add of course the buyers are setting the price in this instance, so I dont blame D*A*M for this.
Some people really have more money than sense though, in my opinion (and this is coming from someone who has owned lots of cool pedals)

I appreciate that these are in low numbers, hand made, and with pukka parts, but the going rate is just ridiculous.

As mentioned, add the fact you can build one of these, workalike for probably £50 or less, near identical for double that (conservative estimates, not including time) it just doesnt make any sense to me.

Then again, I am not a fuzz afficionnado, and dont appreciate all the subtleties of these vintage fuzzes.

If I was ever going to spend £1300 on a pedal though it wouldnt be a simple fuzz with about 20 parts....
