The tracer's fund recently purchased a BJFE SBEQ, I handled the degooping and tracing. These are the results ...

Wow, Excellent stuff of supreme quality. Thanks for the photo's!

Bjorn really amazes me with his circuit designs and his approach to working with discrete analog components -- this type of knowledge is rapidly becoming esoteric and arcane, as modern electronics is all about SMD's and huge IC chips.

:withstupid

haven't seen anyone chewing his PCB's to size since the last MJM I saw...
Sorry. Plain out of planes.

Hey fellas,

Only polyester caps and metal film resistors !! No mojo parts inside ? I like it.

What is the purpose to place R12 in parallel with C9 ? It´s the first time I see a Baxandal tone control arranged that way... :hmmm:

Cheers,
Jose

aside from the FET stages that I've recently seen in his other designs, this really bores me.

used this as a clean boost from an acoustic last week at a gig... it's very very clean, with a lot of headroom.. I'm very happy with it, especially in the 1590a size package. it'd prolly make a good onboard acoustic preamp (which I'll possibly be dabbling with in the future).
