So i gave up on making a layout and just decided to label everything for the GGG BMP. I used the GGG tuned version idk if the other values have differences other than values. What is the purpose of the fet in the top corner?

Also if either the person who made this or GGG wants me to delete this pic just let me know.

That's just a fancy way of doing polarity protection.

I knocked up a quick layout using bubstance's Eagle file and based it on the tonepad muff layout. I couldn't get the 'names' to show up on the schematic in Eagle, even when switched on, so refer to the tonepad pdf and bubstances schematic for general guess-work and fun and figuring out the switches and the pot I changed to pads and good stuff like that.
Edit to say I removed the fancy polarity protection cos I can't find those FETS for love nor money.

I notice that the switches in all the gut shots are SPDT but the posted schematic has DPDT. Would the original SPDT layout look like this?:

Just put together a vero (yet to be verified) based on ringworm's schematic above.

I've had to tweak the pcb, made it a little too tight for the 470n caps

Ordering diodes to build the Horus right now. Did you make any modifications / is there anything I should look out for?

Yeah, I had some trouble with noise but got it sorted. There's a thread here viewtopic.php?f=10&t=15456
I've posted voltages there. If anyone could post voltages from an original unit that would be cool :thumbsup

Hi there, a simple question.

On the Big Muff the 2 diodes are before a capacitor and thus connected to the base of the transistor. However on the Horus schematic, the capacitor is before, and the diodes are connected to the collector of the transistor. Is there a difference?

Plus, just wanted to point out that on the pics around of the Pharaoh assembled on a GGG PCB, D1 and D2 are soldered on the board, and thus in a Big Muffy way and opposite to the one in the schematic.

Other than that, great job guys :)

No.

Now, here's THIS, in action.

Here I played the Pharaoh with my drummer, it's just improvized mindless heavy noodlin'

[SG Standard through a Fender Bassman]

and here we can see the Pharaoh in a totally different musical context, in a pop band, executed by one of the finest guitarists in my country =>
[solo starts around 0:50]

So the Pharaoh is a VERY versatile pedal. I did include a minor mod, and made the R13 resistor a pot, but other than that, pretty stock. I used the carbon-film resistors on the version on the soundcloud link and metal film on the one on the youtube link. And no tantalums on either versions
