Cool layout and build Mike! Ya know, I gotta get me some of that Vero board. Seems like a good way to do a build.

I finished boxing this up recently with the trims as external controls, some cool sounds in this box. Will make a demo soon.

I decided to redraw Madbean's schematic just to make it easier for me to follow. No offence Madbean and great work on this one! I thought it might be helpful for some of you as well. One thing I don't recall reading in the thread was which caps are socketed for the user to swap out. They are:

C11 (10nf) is the bass limiting cap on the red drive control.
PCL (330pf) is presence cap on the third inverter stage.

I hope this is of some use to some of you...

Cheers

Thanks Ripdivot. I find your version easier to read as well.

Reading Ripdivot's diagram there are a couple of things I noticed.

IC1b is there doing nothing. It could be used to get a more stable Vb. Probably it make no difference but Vb used by IC1a could be taken by pin 7 of the same IC. Alternatively, IC1b could be used as an output buffer.

I am sure schematics reflects what the pedal does but wouldn't it be better to connect the R4 to Vb instead of ground?

I found a wiring mistake (jumper across S1A pins 1 and 3) in the schematic I redrew as well as a typo on the 4049 labeling. I removed the jumper and fixed the IC2 labeling. Sorry about that, it should be correct now. Here it is:

Very nice build mich! :applause: I love the way you replicated the idea of an extra metal plate just for labeling. How did you get your text on that?

Hi Niwanone,
It's a stainless steel plate
i used a transparent stickers and made design by
photoshop. The text are in white (so the inkjet leave it transparent)
and the background is in black. What you see is the metal on the back.
that 's make the letters very shiny. Then clearcoted few times.

There is a mistake in the madbean wiring :
In the SW2 C2 and C3 should be reverse !!

Thanks Mich P.

I hope that will do the trick
I'll try that tonight, was it the same problem in your build?
Again my compliments for your build.

Hi Andersom i see few mistakes in the wiring you have posted
the 9v clip is not correctly wired and the input and ouput jacks
seems not ok too.

yeah, you can't just wire to the two tips to the same lug like that. Have a look at some 3PDT schemes.
