I'm not prepared to carve that block of epoxy up yet. The whole thread is for naught
On the contrary - no need to carve the block of epoxy up - if we could just get some component values and better board pictures we should be able to reverse engineer this device and make some educated guesses as to what is in the epoxy block.
+10 ;)

Are there still extra pictures coming for this? I'm still very interested in how this circuit is put together!

I don't think it's going anywhere... we don't have parts values or clear(er) shots of the board to work with.

I've been busy with other stuff & had dropped the ball on this one. I'm gonna shoot some pics of uniform dimensions and lay it out for stitching back together. I'll post as many values as I can get off the PC later tonight. Thanks for your patience and please remember, this will probably take summoning all your powers because the epoxy block remains intact. It's also where the MOSFET resides. :blackeye

Has someone managed to go make any progress in dissecting the Blackstone-OD?

Whatever is inside that block will most probably be as anticlimactic as what I found inside the HH valve sound module   :slap:

Or a dentist - good idea - but could be costly - unless you do that sort of work for a living - multiple X - rays needed

i believe torchy already has the schem for the BS OD - best to ask him for his copy before putting in all the hard work of reversing one.

im under the impression that it is an obsidian converted to n-channel (reverse the polarity and caps).

id be interested in seeing the schem purely from a technical point of view - im not too keen on the clips on youtube ;)

What I want to know is, where do you find the pots and especially the knobs used in this thing?
