Monster Effects - Mastortion

If anyone has this I'd like to see good gut shots. I can't find hardly anything on this. I know Brent Hinds of Mastodon had them make these. He said its a od that can blow the tubes in a preamp. Doubt that's true but I still wanna see what's inside

I am even more perplexed now. I assumed it was maybe a dist + variant
Perhaps its a voodoo labs overdrive derivative.
I gotta look at this a bit closer on my pc not my phone to be sure exactly what's going on.

Picked up one of these on Reverb as "not working".... seems fine to me :)

EDIT: I was staring at the schematic, trying to wrap my head around why there's a fudgin' FWBR in there. I knew there must have been something I missed.
See updated schematic. Polarity protection with a bridge rectifier, kinda neat.

Using one 1N4148 and one 1N4007 as clipping diodes produces some kind of asymmetric distortion ?

yes, the clipping is slightly asymmetrical
