Fast forward to 10:35 for the up close board shots.
Brad The guitologist just got his and takes one apart. Its hybrid smt thru hole, sounds sick as shit.
A500k gain
Bass(booty)c5k
Output 100k
Treble(sizzle)b10k
Opamp ca3240ez(dual bi-mos)
I did spot a sot23 n ch mosfet labeled mv near the clipping switch it also looks to have LEDs in the feedback loop

Pedalpcb.com has a board available and the schematic if interested... I was asked to build one recently... meh.

Schemo doesnt seem to be posted on pedalpcb site yet.
just was interested in the topology.....
inquiring minds and all that.........

Hey bugg,
i saw that u are shipping boards for the melter. any idea when the docs will be posted? thanks.

Yeah man, docs will be posted soon... I'm way behind again.
Been swapping some computers around all week, should be starting to play catch up very soon.
And should have used the second opamp as output for proper melting.

So... No output from this power line? What's it's purpose then?

that's how to properly connect an unused opamp

What is the need to use two resistive dividers to have two independent V/2 supply points ?

1) easier trace routing
2) less interaction between stages
3) something else(?)

well, yeah, but it could definitely be used for a better purpose.

A little late to the game, but question...
In the video, you can clearly see the values on the original.
There are at least THREE differences I see between the original video footage and Buggs' schematic and board!
WHY the differences?? Is there a betterment or else in error and so should use the actual values, which are 10k, 10k, and A10k as I indicated?!?
PLEASE CONFIRM

Might be a mistake but those two resistors being 1k or 10k wont materially affect anything
The sizzle control seems wrong though, maybe that capacitor should be 10n instead of 100n?

I communicated the same to Bugg directly. He's going to check it out and both ways (current and with those values) and see which is better. There may have been some differences in board between video and traced unit. We'll see.

Here are the photos of the board, resistors, and pots from the video:

Here's a craptacular tagboard layout I did a couple of months ago based on the pedalpcb schematic. I drew it up with a Ca3140 single instead of a CA3240EZ. No idea if it'll work, haven't built it yet.

I did it for the lulz. I've been wanting to build one of these for awhile now.

Pay attention, I guess that layout wrong.
This should be the verified one:
Still the open item of the values I indicated and why all these other designs (2 veros and 1 PCB by Buggs) are running on the same schematic?!?
Was there a change to the board? which is better?!??
