Ceramic, silvered mica, polystyrene - choose whatever fits - the type doesn't matter, only the value does!maindog wrote:Hello everybody, tread resurrection!!!
Where did you guys get the 1nf cap? Is this the tantalum cap or I'm wrong? If it is the tantalum cap the smallest I have found is 4.7 nf. Or everybody is using other type like silver mica or ceramic? Thanks for your answers!!!

C4 is correct in what transitor? Q1 or Q2?
Hi,
just built the keelay katana boost by this vero layout :
http://tagboardeffects.blogspot.lt/2014 ... rev-2.html
I managed to bias the transistor to 9 volts using 250k trimmers, but what i get in clean boost mode, the sound is very darka, muddy. The overdrive boost mode seems to work fine? Could you help me identify where could be the problem and how to solve it?

I have built this too http://tagboardeffects.blogspot.com/201 ... rev-2.html
And is working but...the dc bias v on the first stage jfet is shiftin down..at first is in the 8,5 v required(aprox) but in the next minutes its beging to shift until 4,5V...why??
I use two 5458 and I am getting good vcc voltage out of the 7660s (16,5). In the second stage dont have this issue and I have used another 5458 and with the same results...
any idea its welcomed, thanks in advance!!!

7660S - The "S" suffix denotes that connecting pin 1+8 will boost the frequency of the switching above audio band.dromilious wrote:This circuit is a pain in the head.
