Roger Mayer - Purple Haze Limited Edition
I'm thinking about buying one and placing schematic here, but it costs $1,899. Any advice?

Are you asking if anyone would be interested in the schematic of a 2k piece of gear or if it is a good idea? Anyway, the answers are yes and it depends on your disposable income.

"Roger Mayer on making the Purple Haze Octavia, a faithful recreation of the iconic pedal made famous by Jimi Hendrix"
https://www.guitarworld.com/features/ro ... ze-octavia
"The pedal that Jimi used to record Purple Haze with uniquely featured a hand-wound ferrite transformer, and for the first time this all-important component has been incorporated into an official Octavia design, the Purple Haze Octavia."
"If you want a genuine Octavia tone, you need to buy a genuine pedal. Some of my early pedals go for a lot more money; the original Band of Gypsys Octavia just went for $70,400!"
"...the Purple Haze Octavia is not only identical to Jimi’s original pedal in terms of sound but it also comes with a recording studio-quality output stage. "
"Roger designed and custom-winds these ferrite transformers as per the earliest examples used by Jimi Hendrix. They are more hum-resistant and offer a superior high-frequency detailed response than standard audio transformers."

All I could find.
I so dislike the modern digital world that I need to use semi-digital effects to emulate the analog world of cassette, VHS, and vinyl.

The DC power jack is in an odd place. But I guess you plug it in and then have to thread the cable through the notch in the side of the enclosure that matches the one in the baseplate.
You can tell the heart of the circuit by certain resistors and capacitors.
The heart is a tycobrahe octavia changing parts to:
180 ohms instead of 220.
1.5k instead of 1.2k.
4.7k pot instead of 1k.
Zoom in on a good picture of it. It looks pretty obvious. Nobody really is up at arms because it can't work without the righttransformer.

No proof here, just guessing. It's very likely that those transformers are made by Carnhill following RM's specifications. If you can find the part number you may be able to get those directly from Carnhill.
I can say one thing. Its not the 42tmo22. They have been tried for decades with not great results.

I won't be buying it.
