Interesting riddle:
How does he solder the jacks.
as for the build (from a "I hate wires" perspective)... WOW. This is my guy! A design optimized for easy production.. Cool!

Hi Dirk
He solders the jacks last - the board is assembled minus the jacks - the jacks are inserted in the case upside down - the board is soldered to the jacks, then it is pivoted on the jacks and the pots nuts are fitted etc.
Cheers

Isn´t that just jacks with PCB-pins? edit...oh well, bajaman allready told the storyDirk_Hendrik wrote:Interesting riddle:

As for "get rid of wires" it certainly looks neat but I think that any part that has some sort of potential for physical stress on it (jacks, pots or switch etc) should preferably be connected with wires. This is a hassle, takes a lot of time and certainly do not look as nice but in the long run it is probably the better way to do it.
Here is another "looks good" but may not be better in terms of function.... "extra straight line" mounting of components in P2P-style amps .
From a mojave amp:

It looks beautiful but will actually cause more stress on solderpoints (during heat and cool down) than with less straight and tidy connected component legs.
