Just got this in today and figured I'd open it up and take a couple of shots before I gave it a good run through. On the solder-side of the board a piece of blue vinyl is hot glued to, and covering everything. These are the clearest and smallest pictures I could get. I need a new camera that can take better-detailed photos, but I buy stuff like this instead of a new camera. I'll try to snag some info off the components in the next couple of days if anyone is interested.

Maybe the vinyl is to shield the bottom of the board from shorting on the enclosure?

If it's hot glued, it should be pretty easy to peel it off.

Thanks for posting these shots.

:hmmm: Let's see, I'm counting at least 3 bunches of boosters in this one...

I see a LED/LDR combo that's not shrink wrapped or otherwise covered. Interesting.

PT2399 I guess. As the delay pot is hooked up to pin 6
transistor probably a 7405

386 for fuzz/envelope eg. like tim escobedo's rambler and uglyface

the heat shrink is normally to keep light off the ldr.
ive never looked inside a clari(not) while the back is on, but i think it may be dark in there.
actually the ambient light make things a little more interesting/or it doesnt matter i havent decided. :thumbsup
your predictions on this circuit sound pretty close as far as i can tell.
the delay chip is a pt2399, i have blacked out the part number on maybe 10 ics in my life just to see what it was like and i find it funny that one ended up here.

Yes, I know.

Yeah, it probably is. Especially with plugs filling those big jack holes on the sides. :)

That's it!! From now on, I'm ditching the shrink tubing and throwing caution to the wind!!!!!

Now that I think about it....why the hell does anyone bother with shrink tubing?

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that ambient light is infused with natural mojo. ;)

You know what would be funny? If you blacked out the part number, and then wrote it back on top with a paint pen or something. Everybody would wonder if the number was the real part or just a red herring.

Cool, thanks for sharing. Interesting circuit, I like how it sounds.
The heatshrink btw is also there to ensure the LED keeps pointing correctly at the LDR. But as this is not a battery powered pedal and will not be opened often I don't think it's a problem here.

So any more info on the component values? (mainly caps and resistors) plus, are there any components soldered to the pots?
Any change of a solder side pic?

Yes, I should be able to get some more pictures up tonight. I've been working on my Neovibe. Sorry for the delay.

I think the two (not)s would cancel out, leaving you with just "clari".

And anyway, is it possible to clone your own pedal? I mean, without calling it a re-isssue, of course.

Here is all the information I gathered today. I know the diagrams are sloppy, and I didn't bother decoding the resistors and so on, but I'm lazy. Also, all 5 pots look to be 100K linear. I think that covers it. Below are the 2 diagrams I just drew up in photoshop and links to a few more pictures I took of the guts today. Enjoy!
