hello people.
anyone have a schematic that works real double the voltage? 18v.
I could not find "AMZ Voltage Doubler" anywhere.
grateful

You could increase C2 to maybe 100µF for better filtering
Now there are the Super Lead and Super Bass versions to wonder about as well...they're killin' me. I like my original DLS quite bit.
I might have to spend some money on some more pedals!

I dig it.. Never used or finished building the first version, so can't compare it to that. It's a goods "base" pedal, definitely has that Marshall thing going, and the fullness control adds a nice thump, sorta like a 4x12. My fuzzes love running into this thing.
Haven't started tracing yet, gotta bunch of repairs in that will keep me busy for a while.

Thanks for sharing. I built the first version and really like it. I think I might have to buy this one. Catalinbread is building some really awesome stuff. Has anyone tried the super lead or super bass versions?
I typed a response a bit ago then lost it...I hate that.
I believe the MKII version looks like it's based on the same platform as the CB30 (based on the schematic available on the web.) I'd imagine the main differences are in tone circuits/dividers between the gain stages and the DLS MKII probably has negative feedback like the RAH or WIIO pedals.
I may try to breadboard something and see how it sounds.

I just stared at this thing for way too long.
I see muamp-gain-muamp-marshall tone stack-single jfet, possibly as a source follower. Does anyone agree?
I'm having a hard time seeing where there is negative feedback, if at all. I would have thought after the RAH and WIIO that this would have had some to add to the "big amp" feel, but perhaps not.
I can't read cap values but I can guess at a few.
I'm assuming gain is 1M, treble is 500k, bass is 1M, and output volume is 100k. Can't seem to make out the mid resistor, though- I think it's under the electrolytic that's laying on its side. (C11)
The other thing I hadn't considered is that the tone stack IS the feedback path...making the controls active. That would be neat way to do things.
Anyway, I've only traced one or two effects in my lifetime. I'm having a hard time seeing everything in the pictures. I'm used to being able to poke and prod and measure so I don't think I can figure this out.

What info from that picture that can be found ? Well I count 5 jfets which look like 2 MuAmp stages and the 5th jfet on its own, a marshall style tone section (obvious from the 3 tone pots) an internal 4PDT switch by the looks of it as the bass/lead switch. It would be nice to see the other side of the pcb. The pedal sounds really good in the demo's I have seen.Jack Deville wrote:it IS awesome. probably the best dirtbox i've ever played.

It's fairly straight forward, if you want to start it , press start. You can work out the rest of the controls for yourself !
No silicon heaven ? preposterous ! Where would all the calculators go ?
