I did a search and didn't see anything on this gated bass fuzz pedal. Anyone have a schematic of it?

Here's the effect in question: http://www.chunksystems.com/bd.htm

Thanks!

I'm also interested in schem or gutshots of anything from Chunk Systems : Brown Dog, Agent 00Funk Mk1 & Mk2, or the new Octavius Squeezer (just dreaming for the last one ...)
I only give negative feedback.

That would be great!

There are some gutshots here but not enough to trace out the circuit: http://bassfuzz.com/2009/04/02/fuzz-rev ... ss-fuzz/5/

Looks to me like a moded Red Llama or a moded Big muff depending on the ic because i only see one ic its either a LM3046 ie(Big Muff) or 4069UBE ie(Red Llama), I also could be completely wrong in which case im a dumb ass :slap:

Looking at the traces on the back, it doesn't look to be that complicated of a circuit. I don't see any diodes so it's probably not any sort of Big Muff-like circuit. I can see the IC (two op-amps?) and FET or BJT transistor. Not a whole lot of caps and the ones I see are electrolytics.

Maybe i'ts just my imagination, buy after some image manipulations i read "TL074CN" on the chip.
If it's not an opamp BigMuff (because of the lack of (visible) diodes), it might well be something original ... [smilie=a_whatsthatyasaysonny.gif]

It's got 14 pins so it's not a 4049 anyway.

is it at all possible that the diodes are on the pot board ..... it just seems weird , an op-amp fuzz without diodes, maybe it uses mosfet for clipping

A bit strange, isn't it? Hopefully Bernardduur can come through with some better gutshots.

Shame; he had the Brown Dog for a while but sold it. He still got the Agent 00FUNK which I took apart and placed on the forum. He misses his unit though so I think it'll be added to his rig pretty soon.......

(well, I hope so :D)

I have one -- the early (and best) version that is slightly larger and more tweakable than the later or current production. I won't have time until the weekend to take it apart and give you guys some gut shots.

I bought it because it sounded just as good as the Lovetone Meatball, and is easier to use as well, not to mention much smaller.
