Information
Built it yourself, and if you have issues, debug them from the schematic compared to the veroboard layout.

That was my experience as well.jay66 wrote:I built the vero of this and got clean sound only through it. The volume and tone controls worked but no response from the gain control or clipping switches. I haven't had time to look at it closer.

Information
Hey, guys. I'd love to get the vero layout sorted. I just double checked it against the schematic mostrummer posted (which is what I based this vero on) and it still looks correct to me. I also compared it to the GGG tube screamer schematic and apart from a few small changes the schematic looks good.Barcode wrote:That was my experience as well.jay66 wrote:I built the vero of this and got clean sound only through it. The only thing I can think of right now is that we don't agree on how the lugs on a switch are numbered. The vero layout is based on switch lug #2 being the center one and lugs #1 and #3 being the outer ones. Also, did you connect the center lug of the "Bass" switch to the center lug of the "Clip" switch? Without that connection R5 and C3/C14 would be taken out of the op amp stage and I guess result in unity gain only.
So can anybody tell me if the vero layout is good? Since I've read that a lot of people got problems with it, and it isn't verified.
Thanks for the PCB layout, Barcode. But I noticed that it slightly differs from the schematics posted on page 3 of this topic. Which is the real one?

Information
Verified my vero layout (page 4) today. I had to reorient the drive pot wiring, but otherwise it was working nicely.

Yeah, like the vero layout from earlier in the thread I omitted some of the .1uF caps that are unnecessary. Other than that it should match.Troll_face wrote:Thanks for the PCB layout, Barcode. LAYOUT NOT VERIFIED - IT DOS NOT WORK
Hi
here is the layout for boiling point based on schem on page 3
I built it and it does NOT work
It seems ok to me but it does not work. It is quite as a grave, no sound at all (neither ssshhh or hum or anything else; absolute silence)
So can anybody take a look at the layout? Maybe i made a mistake in populating pcb but not sure
thank you
