one of my early builds was the freekish blues alpha drive because i liked the sound of the clip that was with it

but now done, i think it sounds harsh, more like a treble booster. and hearing the sound clip i now recognize that brightens
building it, i could not get the right parts and used some other and now i am thinking, is that the reason i don't like it now?
2n7000 are now BS170
D1 was not listed and used 1N60
what can i do to make it rounder, warmer sounding?
